When you meet someone and you find them appealing, and then you find yourself falling in love with them, will you say it was God who showed you your spouse if eventually you married and she turned out to be an evil person? Would you say they were chosen by God if they turn out to be sweet and nice after marriage? Definitely yes, because they turned out good.
