The Illusion of youth
So you say you are young and you have it, you are young and free, you need new haters because the old ones are beginning to like you, and so you feel like you are at the center of the universe, nobody can talk to you again, because you are keeping it real. No wahala, continue!
Let's even think about it, when you say you are young and you have it, what exactly do you mean? What exactly do you have? Is it time? Sweetheart, you are living under a delusion. That time you think you have, you do not really have it, because if you had it, you would be at liberty to pause and play it. The truth is that, time has you, that's why it doesn't care if you stay online from morning to night on facebook chatting with strangers when you could have been working on yourself, developing your mind and your skill, that's why it doesn't care if you sleep through the day when you should be productive, it does not even care that you are sick, it will never pause a second for you.
Is it beauty you think you have? Just wait a few years from now, a newer model of human beings will come on board, you will be 2018 model, you will be a relic. Don't get it twisted, wrinkles will eventually appear on your face one day, your muscles will sag one day, your teeth will even fall off, then you will realise you didn't exactly have beauty, that you were just deluded. You say you have beauty, because your legs are straight, you have the right curves at the right places, you are 'heavily endowed', you work so hard to keep it tight. As for you my brother, you build your life around six packs, round chest, cute beards, etc. No wahala, continue! If you really had it, why does your perception of beauty keep changing with trends? Darling, what you have is the society's made up expectations of you; an illusion.
Abi, is it attention? So because, a lot of people flock around you, you think you have arrived, because you have 1000 likes when you display your emptiness on facebook, you feel like Cleopatra or Prince Arthur. So now nobody can talk to you because of your twisted perception of an illusive glory founded on a delusional nothingness. No wahala, continue!
The people who sincerely cared for and loved you before you could even say a word, have now become your enemies or haters, the people who genuinely invested their care and time in you to see you become something better for yourself, not because they want to live through you, have now become senile adults who have lost touch with reality. No wahala, continue!
