But you may need to look at the following numbers again:

1. Remember we are evaluating players' performances in the national team colors this year, even if it is just Camping invitation.
So you may need to reconsider including Wilfred Ndidi as he did not feature in any games for the SE this calendar year.

3. Joe Aribo didn't make his debute this calendar year. It was in 2019. So he is ineligible for this category.

4. This category is for SE goalkeepers. Chinedu Anozie was never invited for any SE games this year.

6. Wilfred Ndidi again, for same reason as (1) above.

7. Anthony Okpotu didn't feature for the National team this calendar year.

10 & 11. The games against Lesotho were played in 2019. We only consider games played in 2020.

Please adjust accordingly, thanks.

All these are just to set the records straight, to assess the players on the same platform and to avoid any form of ambiguity in both the selection and voting processes.

Why can't 2019 be part of it? The seasons were combined because of Covid na.

Getting invited to the national team cannot be a criteria. If so, only Ezenwa would be eligible for the NPFL award.

I thought this were awards for Naija eligible players.

For 2019, if you want to add 2019, it means you will also have to go as far back as the pre-AFCON friendlies and the AFCON itself. Bro, that is bringing in ambiguity. We have always conducted this award for the Particular calendar year. How will it look if someone like Odion Ighalo be among nominees for 2020 SE Player of the year? Bro please restrict your nominations to 2020 games and performances.

For the NPFL player of the year, the rating has always been based on players' performances in the NPFL and not their invitation to the SE.

And to your last paragraph, the awards are for players that featured or got Invited to the National teams, with the exception of the Best NPFL category which like I mentioned earlier is based on their NPFL performances. For the SE awards, Players are rated strictly based on their National team performances and not club. Like I earlier mentioned, it is so as to allow for a level playing field on which to assess the players and then to reward them for their National team performances.

I'm not changing Okpotu from my list. A player won a golden boot, a cup and a CAF slot for his team. It would be a disgrace for him not to be at least mentioned for that. The award is named best attacker not best super eagles attacker. It should be both that come to play.

See this is the thing. A player on the national team should always out perform those that are not but when that doesn't happen it would be unethical to refuse that player a chance at an award. Below is our schedule of events, as posted earlier in the house.

Milestone1: 19th to 22nd November, 2020: Nomination of Awards Committee members.

Milestone 2: 24th November to 3rd December, 2020: Deliberations by Awards Committee and coming up with Award nominees.

Milestone 3: 10th to 17th December, 2020: Voting by the house.
18th December, 2020: Announcement of winners of different awards categories.

Notice that Milestone 1 has been achieved already and Milestone 2 commences today.

I plead that we need, to as much as possible, work within each time of the various Milestones so as to conclude the process on 18th December, 2020.

Please note also that for any Contributions you make, you have to copy every Committee member. This is to ensure every Committee member is carried along from start to finish.

Obviously I am talking about the structure of the awards. Why must the awards only be for players on the national team? U are stylishly excluding people and that's not cool. If u don't want to acknowledge guys not in Rohr's good book we might as well come up with a separate award for them.

These Awards have always been for players who did us proud in our National colors. And so players are being assessed based on their National team performances. This is a very simple approach to clear off any ambiguity of rating some based on club and others based on National team performances. It also our way to show appreciation to the players for doing our National colors proud.

Go through this thread and look at the 2 previous editions. We cannot bend this now because you want to include Anthony Okpotu on the list, of which I have even given the "go ahead" if you so insist.

This is a very simple exercise. Drop your nominees and we move on please.
