Just take it as a misunderstanding. I doubt BascoVanVeli meant any harm.

He is trying to derail this whole process, even threatening to come up with another sets of Awards, of which he is free to do so. If that will make him feel better.

ThesuperNerd, with his busy schedule still managed to send me his nominations. One hand, and we never got to do any back and forth thing because he already understands the objectives of the awards, which is rewarding players for their impacts in the National Teams.

I have even decided to give him the waiver to nominate Anthony Okpotu since he so insisted, so we can move ahead. Yet he is still making up cases.

You have to add a 3rd Midfield player. Think again.

And also that Lesotho game was in 2019

Ok, if you don't want to add any other midfielder, leave it.

But look at your 10 & 11 again. The Lesotho game was played in 2019. Chose from 2020 games.

Please. Am I missing something?

From the best of my knowledge, award titles are for a calendar year and Oga Icon4s is right to point it out.

This was the last award. We had separate awards for best Super Eagles and Super Falcons players. He has changed everything and now is making like I am asking about something crazy. I counted votes without getting a single notice. I have done so in previous awards so all Icon4s is doing is showing exactly how self centered he is that he won't even try to reason with any form of critique.

Done

You still insist on nominating a game (Lesotho) played in 2019 and Player(Aribo) who made his debut in 2019 for Most impactful 2020 inclusion.

Tell me which national team games with which to compare Ndidi and Okpotu with the other players in those categories.

It's ok, something that is very clear to understand.

ALL THESE AWARDS EXCEPT THE NPFL PLAYER OF THE YEAR AND BEST PERFORMING DUAL CITIZENSHIP AWARD WERE STRICTLY FOR NATIONAL TEAM PERFORMANCES.

At the commencement of this year's awards I gave room for all to make inputs on which awards to add, to remove and no one came up with anything. With reasons I had to suggest the removal of 3 awards : The Super Falcons award( No female National team games this year)
The dual citizenship award (it raised controversies last year) and National team of the year (no other team except the SE played any game, so no bases for comparison)

You are the one trying to create unnecessary rift here. Simple Nominations with already established criteria you find it difficult. You want us to bend the rules to accommodate a player. You are the selfish person here.

Obviously I am talking about the structure of the awards. Why must the awards only be for players on the national team? U are stylishly excluding people and that's not cool. If u don't want to acknowledge guys not in Rohr's good book we might as well come up with a separate award for them.

I initially didn't want to go back to this post. But since you have been Hammering on it that I lied against you.

Like I said previously, you can go ahead and organize your separate Awards, nothing stopping you. Nairaland is a free place.
