Diplomatic sources who did not want to be named in Abuja said: “Nigeria has identified Chad as a problem in the Multi-National Joint Task Force, MNJTF which was put together to secure the Lake Chad basin areas and repel the Boko Haram terrorism attacks against all the countries that surround the Lake.” The sources revealed that Chad was believed to be having its own internal security challenges and this has reportedly led to the pulling away of her troops manning their own border around Lake Chad. “That lacuna is being exploited by the Boko Haram terrorists, who go in and out of Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon to launch terrorist acts.  This is a clear illustration of the fact that terrorism is beyond national borders.” When contacted to confirm the report, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu said he was aware that the Defence Minister was going to Chad but said he was unaware of his mission there

..cant you read... All this attack by ISWA are coming from the lake Chad fringes... That area has border with Niger, Chad, northeastern Nigeria and northern Cameroon. The Boko Haram insurgency now has taken a new dimension (ISIS in West Africa,) . They attack this 4 countries, not long 7 Chadian soldiers were killed. They created the Multinational task force(MNJTF), comprising of this nations to fight Boko Haram... It's not just a Nigeria thing... And there ability to operate with that vast area in 4 countries is not helpful...though the army and the government are not utilizing the best way possible with probable sobatage and bad morale and equipments within the army.

A military base without Hightower outpost for surveillance. Even in movies you will see Hightower outpost watching the perimeter surroundings. Not even a barbed wire perimeter fencing? Or motion triggered sensors. Nothing!

...the issue did not start today... 4 countries are affected(Niger, Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon) that's why they created the multi national joint task force... And you think for Chad to protect there borders is easy... The lake Chad basin is basically Nigeria and Chad, the border is soo vast with no clear demarcation... Come lake Chad in kukawa LG in Borno and you won't know if you are in Chad Or Nigeria and the people around there are same(no difference)

When soldiers are killed, govt will say no soldier was killed.Result is low morale for the soldiers.
When soldiers are killed, the govt does not give a damn. This is serious low morale to the soldiers.
Some soldiers complained of officers eating their allowances/ allowances not been paid. No action from higher authority.
Officers and soldiers have been killed in suspicious ways, suggesting insider action. No action from authority.
Many officers and soldiers complained of overstay in the mission area. Authority threatens them with court martial.
Injured soldiers are not properly medically taken care of. Low morale for the soldiers.
Many allegations that the commanders do business with boko haram and send the soldiers to die. Authority remains deaf to the cry.
Etc etc etc

The govt and military authority must do the needful. Weapons/equipment only do not win battles, the man behind the weapons/equipment does. The govt and military authority must take care of welfare of the men for better result.
