My Goodness! So Miyetti Allah are now instructing security agencies what to do and what not?

Is this a country?

First, it's illegal for them to enter a country which is not theirs. But it is normal since they are also Fulani, so you can't differentiate between the ones living in Nigeria and the one that came from other countries.

I won't be surprised if they register for a PVC and vote next year.
.

For them, we have NIN operative in January 2019.

Nobody should irk the Malian herders, in fact the SSA to the President on Diaspora Affairs should be sent to welcome our visitors.

This must be the 10th wonder of Nigeria.

A country where bandits and their supporters openly threaten the government of the day and the people into submission Where’s Adesina, I’m sure he has an advise for the farmers, especially if they want to stay alive...

On the one hand Boko Haram, and on the other Fulani herdsmen, all from the same Northern Nigeria, same people and religion. At this rate they do not even need to have enemies. sad

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has warned security agencies and civilians against attacking Malian herders grazing their cattle in Gudu and Tangaza Local Government Areas of Sokoto State.

The social media had been filled with reports of the invasion of Gudu and Tangaza in Sokoto State by some bandits on Friday.

But the state police command had debunked the claim, saying the invaders were not bandits, but herdsmen from Mali “who reside in a forest in Niger Republic, sharing a border with Gudu and Tangaza Local Government Areas of the state.”

Speaking with our correspondent on Monday, the Secretary-General of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Mr Alhassan Saleh, said the Malian herders’ presence in the country was nothing to worry about, as they were only grazing their cattle, a tradition he said they had been performing annually for the past 100 years.

“Those people are not bandits; they are covered by the ECOWAS Protocol on Trans Human Movement to move across borders to graze their cattle. They have been doing that for over 100 years. They come during the dry season and leave later,” he said.

The said protocol allows ECOWAS member countries’ citizens to have the right to enter, reside and establish in the territory of member countries.

Article 3 of the protocol, however, states that any ECOWAS citizen who wishes to enter the territory of any other member country shall be required to possess a valid travel document and international health certificate.

Saleh said the government and security agencies ought to sensitise Nigerians on the protocol in order to avert any trouble.

He said, “It’s because we are so sensitive nowadays that anytime we see a large number of cows, we panic. I blame the government and security agencies for this. They ought to enlighten the people on the ECOWAS Protocol for better understanding.

“Those foreign herders are not bandits and I hope we will not attack them and then invite trouble. Nobody should attack them.

“Ideally, the Customs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among other security agencies, should issue Trans Human Certificates to the foreign herders.”

Saleh said the security agencies ought to have collected important data, such as the number of herders coming into the country; the number of cattle they are bringing into the country; the health of the cows so as to know which one is diseased; how long the herders will stay here with their cattle; and when they will leave so that they can be tracked.

He said, “We are supposed to have cross-border security in place and deploy cattle tracking technology. Unfortunately, the government is not serious about livestock development in this country.

“They would promise to ranch today and cattle colony tomorrow, but nothing is happening. Maybe they want to eradicate pastoralism and give the business to capitalists.”

The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police, Moshood Jimoh, had also on Saturday said there were no bandits in Sokoto State, but herders from Mali.

“They come to the same area annually from Mali to Nigerian border areas in search of water for their cattle,” he had said.

nigeria has become the famous animal farm, where all animals are presumed equal, but some are more equal than others. immagine he didn't even adress the serious crimes of banditry labeled against his mallian herders, instead he's threatening the nation's security agencies, from taking any action against them. if they 're behaving peacefully, they wouldn't be regarded as bandits. this man should teach his brothers to learn how to live in peace, with their host communities. but if they commit crimes they must be attacked, since bubu's govt has vowed not to bring them to book, despite their acts of banditry against nigerians.

pls be reasonable, are nigerians in those ecowas contries killing the citizens and expect their govts to protect them from being punished by the law of the land? nigerians 're not against their coming to the country, but their high level of criminalities and banditries, 'll not grant them good welcome parties. nobody wellcomes his potential killers with open-arms. talk peace to your people, if they really want to enjoy peace.

you are right...its realy getting too much....but who is a criminal and who are not...??...hard to say....you cant tell me because some herders took revenge that all herders are criminals now....makes no sense....

you have two options....:
you get out of ecowas and fight everybody or you learn to pick out the criminal herders....

ghana learned it already....they picked out illegal nigerians and closed their shops, but didnt prosecuted all nigerians....

they over did it....but after controllin stuff, those that were realy legal were allowed to reopen shop....

the duty of govts world-wide, when it comes to the issue of criminality, is to seperate the chaffs from the grains, that this bubu's govt refused to punish these criminals, is making it difficult for nigerians to accept them, as you never can tell who is a criminal, by just looks.

There was a country
Buhari is not in control

When Kanu or Asari started issuing their threats that means Buhari is not in control too?

When Tompoolo threatened Jonathan not to appear at the ground breaking ceremony of the Delta gas city, was he in control?

People will always say whatever but what happens after is the ultimate

am not even talking about ipob, because they 're not yet a threat to the nigerian state, unlike bht and fulani-herdsmen carnage, ipob that was only making noise was crushed, within 3days, but when its bht/fulani-herdsmen terrors, the govt 'll feighned helpless, as if they don't have intelligent agencies, anymore. the insincerity of govt actions, over these security challanges, 're forcing people to lose faith in this govt, thereby leading to anarchy in the land.

Asari you are talking about was attacked by the government for his statements. Now what is Buhari doing about this threat?

do you know that Nigeria is presently battling cow herders crisis?
No sane government will allow another case of Malian cattle herders when they are yet to solve the problems of cattle herders and Nigeria citizens let alone threatening a country.

If Buhari recognizes ecowas too much why has he refused to sign for a common currency of the ecowas countries?
Why must cows be valued more than human lives or the economy ?
