One thing I know is that, "Ije" is not like the regular Nigerian films you see everyday. I've seen it twice already.
I hope Chineze Anyaene's next project will be off the hook like this one.

You know that "Ije" will also be showing at Odeon Cinemas in Greenwich, S. London, U.K. from September 2010.
I hope it gets shown in U.S. cinemas as well. But I'm afraid it might get Limited Release over there.

@obinna5000 i hv no fear whtsoever, IJE can show anywhere and it wl be accepted if nt loved. i feel proud of bein a Nigerian even more. it wl definetely show in US cinemas as wel- d release limitation depends on which distributor handles it then i am positive IJE wl gain grounds even in d US

Even films that have Limited Releases still get rave reviews, so no shaking.

actually saw the movie for the first time today nd it was more than an upgrade it ws a whole lot better to the ones ive seen in years,

"Ije" is the best Nigerian film this year. I would love to see this movie premiere in U.S. theaters.

I thought you were being sarcastic when you said the movie was great o. Ah, I shoulda seen the trailer then. Nollywood prejudices die hard, lol.

From what I've seen of the preview on TV, it looks like a very good movie. However, the storyline seems to be a rip-off of similar to Prisonbreak.

the movie was pretty ok considering teh fact that i dont like home videos from here to there, had a problem with them playing ASA's awe as soundtrack seeing that it had no correlation with the present situation or movie in generall but i guess that my opinion,


as for the prison break storyline i dont tend to agree except you mean that genevieve was scofield and omotola was LJ, also we didnt see tatoos or LJ junior and maybe the black lawyer dude was Sarah,

all in all teh novie was ok, like i said more than an upgarde,

Apart from the Asa song, the movie's main score was awesome. Who's the composer?

Even Hans Zimmer and James Horner would give the film's score thumbs up.

America is so backwards in promoting foreign movies. So they are playing this in London. America why, why? I've been looking for this movie for months now. Please someone please play it in America.
