Due to the credit facility involved in the deal angry
Maybe..

Negotiating prowess is a major factor in car deals... So personally I don't usually have issues with final sell price.. Because I know somebody else could have. Negotiated paid lower..

Why do you think the car became a landlord at Oga mathematics Car lot?
Oga was probably shocked somebody was willing to pay 3.2m for it self grin grin

He actually brought it down to 2.8M this November 2018 that just passed because it has stayed long on stand because of its melting dashboard that he said which has been manageably repaired.

From the comprehensive report that I later got after the transmission packed on the highway after say 2 days showing that the transmission was repaired(not replaced) in 2014 after which it had accident in 2017, and also evidence shown to him when it was dismantled here in Nigeria, I expected him to give me back my 1.5M in full while I bear the additional over 400k that I spent on the vehicle.

But no and you will hear the gist about that soon. Plus the car has gotten some dents/scratches/ wears/tears , it should have been sold for 2M even if he does not want to touch the transmission. Whosoever that buys it will know that he or she will have to change the transmission right away or soon as possible before it packs unexpectedly.

Going with mathematics, the 2.8M he gave officially for the car even before I negotiated paying 1.5M now and balancing 1.3M later so soon already stylishly included interest.

He was making it look like he rendered assistance with a "lemon car" and now I'm being ungrateful now that the transmission issue came up that I was complaining.

He felt not owing me any apology, courtesy, compensation, explanation and lots more which was what made and pushed me to create this thread.

our final agreement especially on the aspect of money to remit.

I will let you know! See below where he is saying that he even overpaid me and other nonsense that only a kid should be saying.

I paid him 1.5M and I made effort of spending over 400k on his nonsense car making it over 1.9M as to be make sure the issue gets resolved. He refunded me far below what he should have even done with apology and as well still holding onto my plate number(my intellectual property) and still has gut to be telling me that he even overpaid me with 1M and 50k that he sent back to me.

Next thread will be an eye opening one to everyone.

when the car broke down you had a duty of care to tow your car to a safe place, same thing you would have done if you had an accident. (That's totally on you)

After that you could have called said car dealer to explain current issues and the way forward.

The 400k spent fixing the gearbox would have gotten a replacement and you would have moved on.

160k was spent for the repair in Lagos. Towing the vehicle to Sagamu, ATF oil and towing it back to Lagos took 65k.

All other expenses that made it up to over 400k are for servicing, registration, change of rusting rim and other things to make it look better.

Please take note of that for the 160k is not enough to replace the transmission. Moreover! Since he was not showing interest nor feeling concerned, I needed to fix and drive it back to his lot saying oga take your lemon car.

The man thinks he is talking to morons.
You claim to spend 400k on a es350 repairs yet you didn't replace the transmission. What kind of foolishness is that
You want pity for that? Money thrown in the drain.
That money will replace a 2007 es350 gearbox.
And if you're not happy with the car then you could send it back to him at least money well spent. But you ranting about spending thousands of naira with nothing to show is fraud angry

Firstly, I’m must say SORRY about the bad transaction between you and Calculux, however this is my honest view.
At this point I will like to talk about my experience with the same Calculux: sometime in October 2018, bought a 2009 Camry from him in Lagos I drove back to Port Harcourt and noticed an unusual sound I called him and complained about the car, believe me- he gave me the best customer service I ve ever had. He sent his driver from Lagos who came and picked the car back, the car was fixed and the same driver brought the car back to me, to my greatest dismay he continuously called to be sure the car was in good shape, I was surprised I could get such from a Nigerian, since then I ve had several other transactions with him and I can say he is a good business man.
So about your experience, once again sorry but I think manner of approach aswell matters. The way we approach situations determines the result we get.
Call me any day and time I will surely recommend Calculux.
