Me. Back then. Kings James version of the Bible was a no go area ... I even called it ,thou didst Bible .... But then I joined winners and discovered it was the standard Bible in the church

I had to pray to the holy spirit for help .. now I can't read any other version unless I am comparing with James version

The sigma protocol...

I only understood it few chapters to the ending

like seriously? That's a basic book. Aside for the Masonic words and symbols. It is just another novel.

The Bible though. The book is no story book. You will have to need a deeper understanding to really understand the Bible. To some its a boring book.

While to some its the greatest book to enrich yourself with great wisdom.

Am a lover of Greek literature anyway. The hardest book I ever read was THE ANNALS AND HISTORIES by TACITUS ( Roman Historian ) for the first time I couldn't finish that book. Had to leave it CU's it was too difficult to understand. Homer's Ilied and Odyssey wasn't that difficult, nor Herodutus and Thucydides HISTORIES AND PELOPONESSIAN WAR...

Some donkey years ago, I somehow got it into my head that reading the classic Greek epics was the coolest thing in literature. So I sauntered down to the university library and picked up a hefty and respectable looking translation of Virgil's Aeneid. Mmmm. About 10 pages (and 10 hours) later, my head started shaking...

Then I looked at the front page properly and realized this book was just Part 1 - there was still parts 2, 3, and I think 4.

I didn't bother to continue.
Can you remember the title of the compendium?

Read mine also but didn't finish it. I am thinking of buying the complete volume (about 7 or 9). It contains all the Greeks classical works and philosopher's works.

It is still the coolest thing bro especially with the works of great philosopher like Dantes hell, odessy story, Socrates works, Plato etc. Who ever reads such works would definitely have a different way of viewing life. It makes you to feel calmer on a long run.

"The lion and the jewel" by Soyinka. I tried reading this book when I was in Junior secondary. I couldn't understand anything about the book.
Then one book I can never stop reading every year is "THINGS FALL APART' by Chinua Achebe

I beg to differ.
For the instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.--psalm 19:7

If you obey and serve him, you shall spend your days in prosperity, and your years in pleasures.--Job 36:11
