Justice Maureen Onyetenu of the Federal High Court in Osogbo, yesterday, sentenced Professor Richard Akindele to 24 months imprisonment for demanding sex from one of his students, Monica Osagie.

Justice Onyetenu gave the judgement after listening to arguments of counsel to the ICPC and the defendant. The sentence followed his change of plea from not guilty to guilty. He was pictured bowing down his head in shame after the verdict.
This will serve as a deterrent to others doing this shameful act.
