Let me spell it out clearly; Jesus' disciples moved with swords even though Jesus himself knew no man could kill him before the appointed time for the cross. There were no guns in those days, so their swords are the equivalent of guns today.

If Jesus were on earth today, he would have moved around with some armed followers or guards too. The fact that God said he will protect us from danger in Psalm 91 does not mean we should start going into dangerous territories just for the fun of it, or when we go around, not make any effort if necessary to safeguard ourselves. Otherwise, there would have been nothing wrong with Jesus doing what Satan asked for while tempting him by asking Jesus to jump from the pinnacle of the temple if he is the son of God because God said he will give his angels charge over him according to Psalm 91.

So stop deceiving yourself by saying a man of God should not have armed escort if he wants to. If Jesus could do it, who is an ordinary man of God to say it is wrong?

I have meditated on those sections of the bible..man, its easier said than done. Even Apostle Paul said in Romans 7:21 when he tried doing good, what is bad is present. Man believe me, I am fighting the urge, avoiding places, friends, even some parts of nairaland, am getting involved in activities in d church that will take more of my time

If you are used to reading your bible, you will not need me to also remind you that when they came to arrest Jesus for his crucifixion, Peter actually drew his sword and cut off the ear of one of the chief priest's servants that came with the people, but Jesus asked Peter to put away his sword because this was not the time to use it, and if he wanted, he could ask The Father in heaven to send 12 legions of angel to defend him. My question to you is this; If Jesus already knew he could ask The Father to send angels to defend him at any time, then why did he allow Peter to be carrying a sword around with him? Why didn't he ask Peter to stop carrying sword? Why also did he ask the disciples that didnt have swords to go and buy in Luke 19
