Good. The NJC/NBA should instill discipline and maintain one voice. It is because of lack of discipline that the Executive is making a mess of the Judiciary. 2 Likes |

Fuckuignos: Due process was not followed. The President is bereft of the power to suspend or sack the CJN according to the constitution. It is the grund norm and must be adhered to at all times. Buhari's action is unconstitutional and should not be commended, rather it should be condemned. What is wrong is wrong! |
Re: Judges Are Not Permitted To Speak To The Media - NBA Boss by Nobody: 5:11pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
martineverest: You clearly do not read. The constitution says where one omits in his assets declaration, he’s bound to resubmit same after admission. The constitution didn’t say they have to be suspended. Tinubu was freed by the same CCT Upon Admission by same CCT Chairman Danladi Umar. What is the matter with you guys? Jonathan’s BVN Policy is the only reason why you guys are screaming corruption today. But when your president leaves office, there is nothing to help continue his fight against corruption because he thinks fighting corruption is by shouting LOOSTERS. You are screaming CORRUPTION TODAY BECAUSE OF GEJ’s corruption Policy of BVN IMPLEMENTATION. 1 Like 1 Share |

That does not show he is guilty infact he has not committed a crime. What the CCB ought to have done is to give him another form to fill and ask him to declare all. That is what the law says! martineverest: 1 Like |

sholatech: Onnoghen Himself without coercion declared that He forgot to include assets worth billions in his declaration. That is enough evidence for him to resign willingly in a sane society because it is a shame for a Whole CJN, enforcer of law to be claiming ignorance or the law, his failure or ignorance is a breach of law |

martineverest: You zombies keep saying the man admitted not declaring his assets! The man did not admit anything! Otherwise, show me a link, a written document or a video where such admission was made! This is no different from the media trial this God forsaken govt of Buhari is known for! The man has not come out to defend himself because Judges by their professional ethics are not permitted to speak to press or bandy words in public!! |

DMerciful: That is an open door for EFFC ICPC to start probing his source of wealth, but Onnoghen wanted to avoid that by postponing till indefinitely the NJC meeting that should have determine his fate. And by the way Onnoghen a sitting cannot be tried while still holding his position. the only thing to be done is to suspend him, strip that position from him so he can be summoned under a judge. 1 Like |

eddiebruk: correct me if am wrong -but he would need to admit to this omission in a competent court of law...he can't just 'admit' his wrong doing on the streets or in his house. CCT is responsible for asset declaration so he MUST present himself before them and then settle this case -but he refused and not only that he also deliberately shut down the NJC. EXCLUSIVE: How Onnoghen Postponed NJC Meeting Indefinitely For Fear Of Being Suspended “Even though no reason was adduced for the postponement of the meeting, Justice Onnoghen was not sure that the body would not suspend him until the conclusion of the case of false declaration of assets pending against him at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The fear of Justice Onnoghen is not unfounded as the National Judicial Council has placed all judges who are on trial on suspension pending the conclusion of criminal cases filed against them as a result of the 2016 arrest of judges for corruption," the source said. http://saharareporters.com/2019/01/25/exclusive-how-onnoghen-postponed-njc-meeting-indefinitely-fear-being-suspended |

Felixv: You see your problem, you think this issue started today. He admitted since July and as such sent a written admission to the CCT, But your oga knowing fully well that his admission means EOD, lied that he was unaware of his supposed investigation, whereas he was the one who signed the order for his account to be frozen in July 2018. |
