Most people will just jump on condemnation instead of trying to understand the whole reasons behind such decisions.
Buhari has made so many bright minds shallow in thoughts in this country.

The ammnesty proposed is a very dangerous idea that will be akin to patting people that embezzle funds meant for development. Say Mr A misappropriates funds meant for a healthcare facility, atiku is saying that if Mr A invests the money in the economy by building a business it is okay. How about the people that won't be able to access good healthcare as a result. Let's not even forget that he suggested a staute of limitations on corruption cases. It's like he is doing his best to tell us he will be corrupt and he will ensure his people will enjoy without repercussions.

It's unfortunate that many hear but very few LISTEN
Atiku was refering to past looters returning their loot so as to feed funds to the economy not to accomodate looters who will attempt to loot
Most nigerians use turkish airlines today and i have friends in istanbul
Who in his right mind was going to turkey in the 90's and early 00's?
Dictatorship and democracy cannot mix
The youth today are far more enlighted than the older generation and have no allegiancies to bello, awo or zik
They just want a working country
What idiagbon did in the 80's can't work now because times change
U can't just go hounding ppl and then ignoring ur own corruption and say u are fighting corruption

there is no justifiable reason for that, if a man who stole 500 Naira because of hunger will be cooling of in prison why will a public/civil servant who stole billions out of greed will be pardoned.
is it how China and USA survived and sustained growth?

Has the Buhari method yielded any good result?

The money belongs to Nigerians and I feel this is a good idea, which will help create more jobs if rigorously implemented to the letter.

Atiku is clearly declaring his major agenda for Nigerian treasury looters that they should get ready if he manage to win all of them should start looting immediately bcs no law against looters in his tenure and he already grant them amnesty to loot as they like.

How many people has Pres. buharis gov. convicted over corruption?

They only use corruption as political tool to drive their pursuit , at the end all corrupt people find them selves in your party and are made safe.

its all garbage in garbage out .. they still retain their loot either in your party or in never ending court cases..

Were is IDP funds and babachar's case ?

I believe this present government is doing the same also so what's the fuss.. Atiku made reference to Turkish government on this and how it has helped them over there, looters returns whatever they have stolen and those who are even trying to loot won't dare to in as much as they know it would be collected from them in addition also punishment will be handed out to the intending looters... Obanikoro and co are they in jail presently after returning their loots

You’re confused. How can you punish “intending looters” and allow actual looters to go free once they bring some money back? Who is an intending looter, how do identify him? Is intention punishable by law? If In my mind I intend to slap you today, how can I be discovered and prosecuted?
The bottom line is that Atiku wants to legalize corruption.

His response to question on corruption clearly shows that like a typical Nigerian politician; he's not prepared to be president. If he had done his homework well, the response shouldn't be, 'I may grant amnesty'. The word may shows that he's not serious.

But you're hailing China, Brazil e.t.c they are where they are now today by giving amnesty to corrupt leaders abi? BUhari will rule and leave yet Nigeria will remain ours, As soon as you realized that then you will no that what he Atiku said is only going to increase massive corruption in an already bleeding country .

APC-JOIN APC AND ESCAPE JAIL

God Bless you sir, I have had similar thoughts even before atiku's proposal and shared it people around me. This is a welcomed idea instead of using 4years chasing looters up and down grant them pardons in return for development and job opportunities for the unemployed. If the former oil minister could be granted a pardon, and in return she is to develop 50 selected roads that would be a win win instead of unending legal wars that will finally lead to a max 5year prison sentence. At the end the lawyers make all the money and we are left with nothing.

Who dosent know that atiku is bad market. Imagine giving alisson maduake amnesty to bring some of the money she stole. Or gabriel suswam or dansuki or ex cjn onnoghen or bashir lawal or dino melaye chai.

There's a difference between Plea Bargain and Amnesty.
The hypothetical cases you mentioned are examples of Plea Bargain.. Under Amnesty, you are expected to return ALL the monies stolen/misappropriated.

What more are you expecting one to understand from someone that clearly said he will give amnesty to his co looters? Is that not clear enough for you to understand?
Atleast, he made his intention known. Buhari promise to end BOKO HARAM but ended up protecting and even funding them with public fundsJobs that are meant for good citizens are been given to Jehadist

Did you hear what Oshoimole told PDP members in Edo state asking them to join APC and their sins would be forgive?
What Atiku implied is looters who willingly returned their loots may be pardon. However....he will ensure the law visit all looters

When a thief talks about amnesty he is only einforcing the notion that HE is trying to escape justice.

If calling atiku a thief because he said he would grant amnesty to those who have looted our funds, are we also right to call buhari a terrorist for granting Boko Haram detained terrorist amnesty and then incorporating them into Nigeria security outfits.

In a country where cultist, murderers, saboteurs, political fugitives, terrorists etc are not only granted amnesty but put on state monthly salary of several millions, why would a man accused of looting not speak of such rubbish.
He has looters all around him as sponsors.
If you can't do the ugly thing then you will continue the partial war against corruption.

SERAP is a joke. Is the APC not already granting amnesty to past looters who join their party and are are these looters not being allowed to keep their loot?

Spare me please. What has SERAP done about Oshiomhole's statement?

I wonder how many so called looters have been charged and jail in this current adminstration. Is it not better to tell us that the looters have been granted amnesty than just hind them under the umbrella their political party and they become saint.
