I have heard that too and there might be some truth in it. Even as a teenager then, my mum scolded me for tying wrappers a lot at home that it would sag my breast.

So true, I know a baby currently suffering this. His legs & knees are weak cos of too much backing. The creche had to advise the mum to stop backing him & there has been improvement so far.

dapillar:
Backing of babies should be discouraged because most women have xtra large bumbum this can cause the baby to have bow leg or agada. The new born babys bones are soft and can adapt to the size of the waist of the mother that backs the baby. You are better off with a front baby carrier. In future that child will have straight legs.

When a mother backs her baby, there's this BOND between them. The mother's warmth and affection mean a lot to the baby.

But not better than the bond they share when the baby is in a carrier in front of you, resting his/her head on your chest and looking into your eyes occasionally...you are able to kiss the chubby cheeks and face.

What bond is there to share when the baby is behind where you cannot even see? No affection there

I totally agree with your first submission, but the second. Are you suggesting that if you get married or perhaps working elsewhere, far from your parents means you have no bond or affection for them; simply because you don't see them?

It was in comparison with having the child in front.

And off course you know the answer to your question.

Although, people are likely to bond more with people they see more often than someone they see occasionally
