CNN got the attention of Nigerians, following a recent caption it gave to a photo it shared which was interpreted as a shade for Buhari and Atiku.

The alleged shade post for Buhari and Atiku which CNN shared, came with the caption; "Meet Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar: the old men vying to lead Nigeria, Africa's youngest youth population". However reacting to this, Nigerians pointed out the American news platform's hypocrisy in turning a blind eye on Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump's age.

Here are reactions to the tweet below;

This is what they say,"Yes, Atiku is CORRUPT and he's a THIEF but he will create jobs." How on earth did they believe the SCAM that the practice of CORRUPTION can grow our economy? Can a VETERAN prostitute be a VIRGIN?
PDP and Atiku can't be trusted

CNN would be regretting making this post right now. Nigerians are confident and mouthed. You just don't tell us anything.

If only we could get our acts right...

CNN is only referring to the ages of their ideas, isn't that old? Can anyone compare the vibrancy of Trump to the two old cargoes we have?

How old is the average American? The point of the CNN article, which all of the Nigerians rushing to criticize it have failed to grasp, is that Nigeria has one of the most youth-heavy demographics of all countries in the world, and yet the two contenders to rule are both men in their 70s. There would be nothing surprising or newsworthy about a country like the USA having an older leader, as the average American is much older than the average Nigerian, thanks to the wonders of birth control that so many poor Nigerians refuse to embrace, leading them to pop out more and more children to share their hunger and poverty with.
