It was not wasted.. Am a doctor and I assure you that the microbiology you learnt will give you an edge during your clinical level in school.

I regret choosing my school (had the opportunity of 3 other Federal schools), changing my course (opted for a professional course which commenced the year I got admitted and I became a member of the pioneers, HELL!!!) and having just a triangular lifestyle (SHC...School, Hostel, Church). I regret the fact that I was obsessed with my grades and couldn't start up a business (even when numerous opportunities were presented to me). Always felt bad when I had Bs, how much more a C (had a few though). I regret looking at my best female friend with disdain the day she gave me the book "Why the A students work for the C students and the B students work for the government" by Robert Kiyosaki as my birthday gift. It felt like the worse gift I'd ever receive. Yes, she knows I love books but I felt this particular one was out of place and I thought she was jealous not knowing she had my best interest at heart. I never read the book till a year after graduation. A present I received while in 300L (I did a 5years course). I wished I hadn't let my naivety becloud my judgment and read the book earlier. So painful. Thank God I did anyways and I still thank her for that. I never had a steady relationship and it's still affecting my love life now as I still do not see a need for a relationship till I'm fully ready for marriage.

Well, that I started learning about to money and the world I was about to enter a little too late. It's not irreparable though.

I wouldn't say it will make my future brighter, but if I could go back to school- I would allow school pass through me i.e, socialise and do fun things. I lived a very triangular life. Didn't want to make mistakes or disappoint my dad, who means a lot to me. Now I am older, I work more than I unwind. Them no dey learn left hand for old age.

I am not advising anyone (lady) to get dickstracted, but it is advisable to build healthy relationships and create memories while in school. When it is all over, you get your First class, 2.1, 2.2, 3rd class or pass...the bond created would come through. You think of your colleagues, friends, lodge mates, fresher's night...etc and smile. The memories will last a lifetime. These memories and experiences, helps in shaping us.

Also, do not listen to those people that will tell you grades do not matter. Get good grades, then we can talk about Martha.

OP, please it is "I'm" (being I am) not "Am". Make a conscious effort to unlearn that "Am".

I wish i had been more selfish and focused more on my own academics.I hugely regret being a sulker for helping folks academically, from assignments, term papers,. to even projects. I acted more like a project supervisor to many of my classmates, my lodge became a place for pilgrimage in our finals. I couldn't understand why some people weren't doing well in school,...I 'abandoned' my own stuffs just to get people outta their shits. I did all these without charging a penny nor asking for sex from the female folks (I helped both genders)
Well, I graduated with an Upper Div. but I know I could have done more than just that.
My anger is within the space of 3/4 years, all my benevolence have being forgotten by these folks.. even when I wasn't asking for anything.

Who is this ? Why are you telling my story? the only difference is I never had a girl give me that book. Every other thing is me.

Had no regrets as such made the right friends, partied with my friends, was a back bencher and the unserious type in the eyes of my pairs, sorted some of my courses,only bleeped in my final year, played basketball which was my favorite sports but wasn't serious though, in all surprisingly graduated with a good grade which got me a good job even without going for service had to work my service to my place of work. In all it was a nice experience , am currently doing my master's in Same school.

"Am" is one grammatical error that pains my heart. I was marking the essay of an intern, saw that "Am" and I almost stopped reading.

Debtors are part of assets of business except bad debts. When you don't have shop you will definitelt have a lot of debtors but not having shop shouldn't be a discouraging factor. Most business men you are seeing today all started from somewhere . No excuse , get started. One reason why it is possible is higher and more reasonable than millions of excuses on why it cannot work.

Nothing really, had my fun and balanced it with academics too. Started living off camp from the word 'go' so I drank the way I liked, studied how I understood, partied the way I wanted, smoked weed for the first time in my life and got so high that I almost touched the skies (true story).

I am so proud of my school days. It makes me more focused in being an adult right now. Nothing really distracts me now: women? Party? Fun? Love? Friends? Adventures? Challenges? Heartbreaks? Disappointments? I had them all and that keeps me at peace with my inner being now.

Don't get holed up in that school and be working on your academics alone. Make friends, create indelible marks on people's minds.

Nothing atol...inshort my school days gave me what i have today

I regret:

*not taking my studies seriously enough.

*the abysmal grade I had.

*attending the school I did.

*not learning a skill then.

*being too young, inexperienced & naive to recognise the all round potentials in those two student doctors who adored me to high Heavens. Now they are both married and doing well. And to think a roommate to one of them warned me about this regret.

*not making enough friends. Not socialising enough. I had a boring & routine lifestyle. It's affecting me now because I still lead a boring, routine/triangular lifestyle. Even till today, I have not seen the insides of a club (it's still in my social bucket list though).

*the costly mistakes I made in final year .
