meobizy: I'm not looking at it from the "law" perspective, I'm talking about morality. I don't know how I'd feel taking a life, self defence or not especially when I can subdue the person, for Christ's sake. The husband could have stopped after the first strike cause I can imagine him striking the man repeatedly that led to his death |

candlewax:The law and morality hardly go hand in hand. We’ll never know the husband’s state of mind at the time but I can imagine it was full-on dread to make him end the assailant’s life. For all we know the man was probably a midget who would prove useless against a fully capable attacker hence the sure dispatch to remove any possibility of retaliation. Any human will take a life if there’s a strong enough reason. 2 Likes |

Same thing I was saying yesterday about demonic possession... From porn to sleeping with single ladies , then to married.... Then to children... Next to animals... and then to sex dolls. This is how demons operate in man. They continue to drive man until he meets his death... Jesus Christ has come to give life and destroy the works of the devil. Run to him for help if you need help. Accept him as your Lord and saviour. 3 Likes |

adekalumichael: Of course the husband will be exonerated eventually. It merely depends on the circumstances: He is entitled to the argument of self-defense and should that fail for some reason, he is entitled to the mitigating plea of provocation. 2 Likes |

What's the basis of this your statement? It's a totally empty statement in my opinion. This type of crime of brutally hacking someone to death - is it what we don't see a hundred fold in Naija? people are being hacked to death all over the nation, year in year out, people are being doused with fuel and set on fire alive, people are being clubbed and stoned to death by sticks and rocks, women are being ravaged to death all through the nation, armed robbers divert vehicles on the high way in Niger delta and the North especially, kidnap the occupants, and hold them to be released for a ransom, ritual murders, ethnic and religious bloody killings, unconscionable looting of the nations wealth by politicians, Boko Haram invading villages and towns, hacking hundreds of people to death, kidnapping a multitude of women and turning them to sex slaves. The most gory and unconscionable crimes happen in your own backyard and you are here spitting in disgust for a crime in a country where they are not even half as crazy as we are here in Naija. Ol boy you are a MUMU!!! |

candlewax:Its thoughts like this that criminals harbour before committing crimes. If he gets killed while wielding a weapon, it becomes self defense. If no weapon, plant one in his corpse and call it self defense. |
