Embark on projects you can complete in just a term.
Honestly is it a must for all governors/political office holders to always go for a second term?

If Nigeria adopts such a short-term mindset, we will never have sustainable development.
Large-scale infrastructure like rail networks (not just one line to nowhere) requires more than 4 years.

Why are there so few self-catering accommodation in Lagos? Or extremely exorbitant daily rate?

In most cities today booking.com & airbnb have such excellent accommodation. From Paris to New York to Sydney.

Godfather has said no to Ambode. Soon we will be wondering why were are "perambulating and still dey same same place."

I ask you....

How much are these three bridges combined?

How much is Lagos IGR only for a month?

Get some knowledge then you will stop useless paid articles/postings.
Shut up, come to epe and come and see what he has done. For a governor to construct road from epe to Lagos border. Infact some people collected pvc because of this guy. Before is political career hits a brick wall

Shame ....flyovers in 4yrs

But it’s not just flyovers.

There’s hardly any facet of public life that Ambode has not positively affected (including building upon Fashola’s foundations), from renovating/upgrading public schools, supporting SMSEs through the Employment Trust Fund, the Code Lagos project that is training about 1 million Lagosians, the work training programs of RSW supported by the private sector, artisanal training, the building of several new jetties and dredging/developing proper ferry routes, the home ownership Lagos HOMS scheme, training/recruitment of new graduate teachers, empowering disabled Lagosians through the Lagos Disability Fund and providing employment for qualified ones, as well as ensuring that all the BRT and the new high-capacity buses are wheelchair accessible as are all the new pedestrian bridges, upgrading/equipping primary health care centers and Ayinke House/LASUTH, the Light Industrial Park in Ikorodu and the Imota Rice Mill, the 450 inner roads across all 57 LCDAs, the first-rate Lagos Emergency Response Unit (ERU), the computerized GIS, the computerized vehicle testing services, the forensic testing center, health insurance scheme, the new Onikan Arena and the JK Randle Center, the Airport Expressway (which really should be the responsibility of the federal government), the game-changing Oshodi Interchange, the new terminals at Oyingbo, Ikeja and Yaba, new parks/gardens across the city, et al.

Nigeria will remain deservedly underdeveloped unless we quit rewarding failure and punishing success (however relative). SMDH

If the railway project is going to take like let say 20years, that means whoever is occupying the leadership position will be there till after 20 years.
What happens to continuity?

The thing is they can always have a developmental plan, so from the developmental plan any elected leader can choose a project from the plan and embark on.

The Abule-Egba and Ajah flyover projects were approved in December 2015 - seven months after Fashola left office. See linked story below.

Why? shocked

Government is a continuum, and thus just like many of the government bonds that the Buhari government is issuing today will fall due for redemption in some cases in 15-20 years, long-term infrastructural projects do not need to completed within 4 years, so long as proper contractual agreements are entered into. Frankly, the only issue thereto in Nigeria is the tendency of our governments to breach contracts.

Even with your overly inflated essay, still less than a 1/4 of Fashola's 1st term achievements.. And considering the fact that Ambode's budget is twice Fashola's budget

God bless you, Ambode's 20years can't be compared to Fashola's 1st 4 year. If Ambode should have continued from where fashola stopped but niggie was too self centered and wants all the glory to himself but ended up shooting himself. Hundreds of lives had been lost on that lagos badagry expressway cuz that fat fool decided to abandon a project that would have been the best thing after garri

My Guy don't be deceived he is a bad governor. Today we have pot holes all over Lagos, blocked drainage, Street refuse everywhere, Okada invasion, over grown lawns, and abandoned projects everywhere. All the legacies of Fashola are lost in just 3years. He would have wrecked Lagos if he had returned. That Agege bridge has been abandoned since. He promised December yet nothing is moving in Lagos.
we that we leave here in Lagos cant wait till May to sweep him out of Lagos. Can you imagine just little pots holes that could be fixed by Lagos Public works are left to expand which destroys entire roads causing unimaginable traffic daily. My travel time has increased by 1hour so i now spend 5 hours in traffic daily.
Pls leave Ambode out of our lives. he is a total failure
God bless you for your analysis. People that stay out of Lagos don't understand.
