True, merit played a huge role, But ZONING(FC) played a huger role. When my boss inquired on my behalf from his HR contact 2 weeks ago, The first thing she asked him was "what state is he from?"...and I'm from IMO State. what she told him thereafter is personal.. but what I'm saying is merit, Yes, but the complexity of State Zoning is only by God's grace.. She said the real competition is in those states that had huge population during the interview.

Boss, I don't think that's what they mean - well if that's what they mean then they are dumb lol.

I think the argument has always been that there is MORE competition down south. So, say it's 10/state then you might have 100 people qualified and quite competent for those positions from say Bauchi and 500 from Lagos for the same 10 positions (those numbers are just to paint a clearer picture not based on any data).

Personally I know a number of people that applied with an overseas MSc for GT positions, so I don't believe any state in Nigeria has zero competition i.e. all those that applied will get in automatically.

Of course there are those that believe the North is some massive wasteland and people there are all illiterates, those ones are irredeemable.

Anyway all this story I'm typing is cos I am a bit anxious. These are all trivialities and frivolities at this point.

May we all get closure as soon as possible!

The day I got wind about this state ish was when I started to take my mind off APL (though I still come here for updates).



I hail from Ondo State, for those who know what that means coupled with it been an oil producing state. See ehn, I knew one way or the other my chances of getting APL rest solely on God.

The other day, someone mentioned a guy with over four years experience coupled with mouth-watering qualifications that did applied for GT also. Guess what, he's an Òndó state indigene
