Be doers of the Word

James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Beloved, forsake that which is not of GOD, which does not glorify HIM. But it does not end there, have a readiness in your heart to receive the Word of GOD. Thirst and hunger for the Word of GOD.

Do not forsake the Word of GOD but rather yearn for it on a daily basis because the Word of GOD brings a renewal of your mind on a daily basis, gives you direction, tells you the will of GOD and HIS purpose for your life. It is a lamp and light which guides and direct. The Word of GOD tells you what is right from wrong.

Romans 12:2b But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Make the Word of GOD your companion. Read the Word, listen to the Word.

But Beloved, after reading and hearing the Word of GOD, it will only be profitable when you obey diligently, if you don't obey the Word, you decieve your own self. It is not only about reading or hearing the Word of GOD, it is about doing what it says.

Many believers have listened, read a lot of the Word of GOD but it is not reflecting in their way of life, this is because they are not obeying the Word.

Don't just hear the Word of GOD but obey it because the blessing lies in the obedience to the Word of GOD. Many will go to Church and say 'Oh, I am really blessed by today's message' but after a few days, check up what they have been taught and their way of life, you will find out that they have not practiced what they heard.

You are only blessed by the Word of GOD when you put it to practice.

A typical example is like advising a young child every morning on how to be successful, and he listen carefully, but he does not put it to practice, then the word spoken to him is not profitable due to lack of practical application of what he has been told.

Beloved, don't just read, hear, listen to the Word of GOD but Be ye doers of the Word.
