A lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Mr Patrick Okojie, has reportedly committed suicide three days to his 47th birthday.

‎His decomposing body was said to have been found on his plot of land at Igbira Camp, along Igarra-Auchi road, four days after he was said to have been missing.

Okojie who lectured at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning of the institution until his death, was said to have been due for promotion to a chief instructor by this month’s end before he died.

Family sources said, the deceased who left behind a wife and three children, did not leave any suicide note.

It was said that Okojie who allegedly made two previous attempts at committing suicide, left home on March 4 and was found on March 8 while the rope he used to hang himself was found on his neck.

God!!! sucide is more than being depressed... it's a spiritual issue.... my friend whose late baby daddy committed suicide told me he would call her crying for prayers that he was hearing voices asking him to kill himself..... he said the voice and force was too strong to resist and he will break down crying.... his people didn't take him serious and eventually he hung himself one-day while everyone was away..... there are Powers behind commiting suicide.....
