The Governor of Lagos State, Sanwo-Olu reacts to the death of Kolade Johnson who was killed by SARS stray bullet while watching Liverpool FC match on Sunday afternoon at Olu Aboderin Street, Onipetesi, Lagos State. Gistvic Reports.

Sanwo-Olu commended Police for their swift action into the incident.

He said:

"My sincere condolence to the family of Kolade Johnson.

The solution is simple

Reform the Police

Better training and materials for the Police

Better relationship between the Police and the people.

Better records keeping.

The problem is not that people are not talking, the problem is the institution itself.

Even the so-called arrest of the guy would amount to nothing. He won't be fired from the force neither will he be sent to jail.

He would probably be redeployed to another state.

This guys just sent pain, mourning and darkness into a family. Even if he was whoever or whatever, there's no place in law and rights of a citizen of Nigeria that allows such instant death judgement.

The did has been done already. One thing that will go down with this current government is that they failed woefully in terms of security. Right from Boko Haram in the north to Fulani herdsmen in the middle belt and to cultism in the south. Even the security apparatus that are supposed to help and secure lives are the ones taking those lives. Yet, nigerinas kept mute and didn't demand for their right. Similar thing our parents did that made us meet this mess. Nigeria's salvation is far fetched and doesn't seem like every four year election of the same old people that brought the problem will bring the solution....
