I visited my old thread and came across your link. It gladdens me to know that someone I know (albeit on nairaland) has land at Shimawa and is building on it. We ended up buying land there. We don't have any immediate plans to develop it but time will tell. Thank you for your updates.

We don't make things difficult and you are not a builder, rather, you are the project owner.
I know there are some dishonest professionals in the construction industry out there but the good outweighs the bad.

Regarding the economic situation in Nigeria, it is challenging to come across engineers who consistently demonstrate honesty in their dealings. It might be possible to encounter a small minority, perhaps around 2 out of every 100 engineers, who display compassion and fairness in their interactions with others.
