It is the same company. They are in PH, Lagos and Onitsha. They produce the same products.

I know it is the same company. But peter obi took the part that makes non-alcoholics to PH while all the Onitsha brewery produces is different brands of alcohol. Even Life breweries in Onitsha is the same thing. They sold their only non-alcoholic brand to one company in Ogun state. They have saturated Onitsha with alcohol.

Lol Nwokem stop this your veiled fight against anything that concerns Obi. Learn to stop bad-mouthing our first-11 even though they are in different political divide. That company has generated a lot of well paid jobs for our people and huge IGR and they buys agricultural products from our state for their industrial purposes.

What I my seeing here, what the hell is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is talking about that is only north that manufacture everything in Nigeria in which the Igbos owned manufacturing company are being closed or run-out of business by Haus Fulani eg IBETO CEMENT( Economically Strangulation).
Please OP help me out here, is this your IBETO different from the one that own IBETO CEMENT, whenever i go to Aba town I always see how my brothers , sisters and relatives from Ngwa along with other Igbos how they succeed/ progress in their business which is progressive, I'm wondering how much truth is there with the so called Economically strangulation.

Nwanne, I hope you are not mistaking me for globemoney. I no longer fight Obi. He has lost the election and is no longer a threat to our great party. Why would I be fighting a man who is already down ?

I am only concerned that no brewery in Onitsha produces non-alcoholics. Is it an abomination if the one in Onitsha also produces Grand malt to complement the one in PH ?

Anambralstson:
Onitsha and Nnewi

Let start with Nnewi, Nnewi is the second largest city in Anambra State, development of Nnewi market propelled the fast development of the local economy.

Nkwo Nnewi Auto spare parts industry started during the Civil War. By the early 1980’s, manufacturing of autos, spare parts and other goods were added to the economy. These industries have survived over the years due to the quality of their products. Their market shares have increased tremendously in recent years. Today, Nnewi accounts for over 23% of products in the Nigerian market with respect to motor vehicles and motorcycle spare parts.

As a fast developing city and a major industrial and commercial hub in Africa, Nnewi experiences voluminous financial activities, therefore hosts major banks, and other financial institutions. Industries are dotted around the city and adjoining towns. Palm oil, cosmetics, motor, and motorcycle spare parts, books, and stationeries, textiles, electric cables, and so on are produced in commercial quantity in the area. Its main trading centers include Nkwo Nnewi market (the largest spare parts market in west Africa) and Nwafor market, Eke Amaobi market, Eke Ochie, Eke Ichi Market, Orie otube Market, etc.

Nnewi self made city
We always make mistakes by thinking the term ''Nkwo Nnewi'' refers to only one market. As a matter of fact,Nnewi has three major and well defined markets with some other importers markets and community markets. The List of markets in Nnewi are..
1.Motor parts market
2.Machine parts market(new parts)
3.Nkwo market(that sales varities of products including food stuffs, clothes, drugs, costmetics etc)
4.Plant parts(located just near the machine parts. It sales brand new generators and its parts)
5.Nwagbara market(It sales second hand motorcycles and its parts. It also houses so many motorcycle engineers)
6.Nwafor Uruagu market(it sales varieties of food stuffs and household items. It holds every for days which is the afor day except on sundays)
7.Eke amobi market(Holds every eke day except on sundays) etc.
Let's not use because of the term ''Nkwo Nnewi'' to think Nnewi has only one market. It is just that all of the major markets are located very clsoe to one another

My suggestion, what’s the need of this thread? Why not limit these kind of posts to the Anambra thread? We can’t have a thousand threads of Anambra on nairaland posting the same thing, that’s narcissism!
Please limit these posts to Anambra thread, anyone interested will get updates there. Thanks

this is very impressive, the OP has to do more than nairaland publicity campaign to meet broader audience. once again, Good job
but just 3 questions;
1. are there plans to create a GAS POWER PLANT for these budding industries.. coz if these guys are relaying on EEDC or worst still diesel for their power, there is almost nothing to celebrate here, but rather keep praying that God should give these industrialists more Grace to endure Nigeria
2. this one is for the experts in the house; how are these guys surviving when multi coys are closing shops left and right in Nigeria, some are relocating to Ghana, due to terrible working environment/bad govt policies.
3. despite these impressive industries, why do States like kano, Kaduna, Enugu stand shoulder to shoulder or even higher than Anambra in terms of IGR

I will love to engage in intelligent discussions, no time for insults?

Good questions!

I'm no economist, but i think the answer to number 2 can be found in number 3. I suppose there's less pressure on the companies sited in the state by way of limited taxes and levies! This may account for why the IGR isn't as high as it should be!

There was this ranking released about two weeks ago....didn't Anambra feature highly in ease of doing business, or something of that nature?

Silly excuse and yet the factories aren't locked and you manage to capture a few decorative workers abi?

Like i said. These small medium scale factories are only created with the intention of an appearance of doing something back home. The economy simply isn't there and we can see from all indices cheesy

By 2020, Anambra alone will be generating about 3000 MW of electricity through indigenous investments. Chicason Group alone is building a 1500 MW, Anambra Govt is building 80 MW, I can't remember the company, it is building another 1500 MW.

When you add those in Aba, SE will produce about 5000 MW before the end of 2021.

IGR means tax. Why do we need to raise taxes when SE debt is 7.5% of that of the 36 states plus FCT.

We don't need to tax our people, at least not now. If I tell you how much Ariaria makes as IGR you won't believe. It is too poor.

I believe SE tax policy is premeditated.

Also, many Anambra businesses are not paying tax due to poor taxing system in the country. Some illegal bodies also get in the way of tax collection.Tax evasion and tax crimes must be tackled and urgently. If that is done,Only Lagos will be generating more IGR than Anambra while Anambra will be standing shoulder to shoulder or even generate mor IGR than River state and Ogun state.Anambra is really doing incrediblly well economically, just that the activities there are not well publicized for those that have not visited to see.Purchasing power of Anambra people should be second to Lagos or number one in the entire country. It might sound sentimental or unbelieveable but that's true
