It's not an ambulance, so why expect medical personelles/ paramedics on it?
Or has the bus got the drip, oxygen etc they can use on it ni?
Unfortunately, Nigeria needs a complete overhaul on its emergency response system especially in healthcare. Too few public hospitals to offer emergency services, and no ambulances. Shame really 4 Likes |

I totally agree with this but the issue we have in Nigeria is more of trust. People believe that the taxes they pay will eventually be embezzled by our greedy leaders and nothing go happen. In the countries you mentioned the system is working because corruption is minimal and there is due punishment for any corrupt government official. See the case of the pension boss who embezzled a huge amount of money meant for people's pension, if you hear that, you'll even be afraid for your pension savings. How much are you willing to bet that nothing will be done? Is Fowler no longer Tinubu's boy? Let's even follow your line of argument, how much is minimum wage in those countries you mentioned? If the Government want people to pay taxes, they should pay them well. Then when the people pay, they shouldn't block every avenue for the people to want to find out how their monies was spent. Yet, many of us don't hold our polticians accountable. Many of us even defend them thoroughly, and many of us even talk of revolution...when all they want is their own share of the cake. Lagos, they pay taxes there well well. So much so that Bubu brought the Fowler to come and do his magic on FIRS.And they have an effective first response/firebrigade// ambulance service. In Nigeria? Many of us don't pay light bills, water bills, etc....even taxes. And we complain when these things don't work and we have to go and spend billions on generators and boreholes. Lagos has a lot of corrupt politicans. YET....see what their taxes do. We have to face relaity in Nigeria. Either we pay the money needed for a good working ambulance service that would be well maintained...or we continue with what we saw in the picture. And I hate saying that...but facts is facts. You canna get much out of a health budget of $2billion. A single ambulance costs $10000-20000.
