Any Medical Professional Should Explain This Transvaginal U/S Scan, Please by OWNwithEASE: 6:02pm On Jun 07, 2019 |
My wife went for a blood test in 2 different labs and the result from both centers indicates She was pregnant. We did a scan but the scan did not see She was pregnant, we were then advised to do Transvaginal U/S scan. Our next appointment with the doctor is next week but She is not at peace at the moment. Pending the time we see the doctor next week, Pls any medical practitioner should explain what the statement of result mean 1 Like 2 Shares

From the results, all seems fine. Non-gravid uterus means your wife is not pregnant and no sign of embryo formation was found outside her womb. So the summary is: No Pregnancy Detected. 109 Likes |

I no be dr oh but I think she might be pregnant...its takes a while before scan shows pregnancy but a lab test detects it HCG faster which is the hormone that secretes when a woman is pregnant. And looking at the endometrical plate thickness also supports this...I hope u re not on IVF cause it might give a false neg result in the lab test...But as I be mechanic na what do I even know. 31 Likes 1 Share

Decidual reaction is a functional change that occurs in the uterine endometrium in preparation for pregnancy or during pregnancy The impression of the scan means, that the uterus, ovaries, and adnexae are normal. No abnormalities were seen. No cyesis (pregnancy) was seen during scan >>> this does not mean your wife is not pregnant. The pregnancy could be below four weeks that is why it's not yet visualized on scan. [b]TVS can see pregnancy at 4weeks while Transabdominal scan can detect pregnancy at 5weeks. Your wife should rescan in the next two weeks. Oga your wife is pregnant, just relax and repeat the scan in 2weeks. By then a gestational sac should be present in the uterus and probably a fetal pole. ANOTHER QUESTION I WANT TO ASK YOU Was there any time she bled or spotted?? because even after a miscarriage has occurred, a pregnancy test will still be showing positive. But to my best knowledge, if there was no miscarriage and the test is positive, she is pregnant. 117 Likes 3 Shares |

You need to calm your wife down and wait for the doctor's appointment.. People are just going to confuse and alarm you with divergent views and interpretations. Next week is not far.. Be a man and encourage your wife to be patient OWNwithEASE: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Madam is not pregnant. As regards the positive pregnancy tests...it could be a false positive result. Yes, it does happen in a few cases. In my humble opinion, don't worry...here's what you do 1.Repeat the scan 2 weeks from today. 2.Also do a SERUM/BLOOD pregnancy test at the same time. If there is nothing seen...she is probably not pregnant. Good luck. 6 Likes |

No pregnancy (not in the womb, not outside it) The good thing is that the womb and ovaries (egg producing organs) both appear normal There was a careful search (maybe in consideration of your certainty about being pregnant) He said to go back in a week (if you guys still feel and or test pregnant) There is a chance that you went too early so go again Good luck 4 Likes 1 Share |

The second line in the report... Suggestive of a decidual reaction... Indicates a possibility of very early pregnancy. The blood pregnancy tests have a high rate of false positives, bottom line you have to repeat the scan in 2 weeks or more, in the meantime do a urine pregnancy test to offset the high false positives, if the urine tests are also positive she's pregnant. The scan will definitely show a pregnancy of above four weeks . Hope this helps 12 Likes 1 Share |

TVS showed no gestational sac in the pelvic region so your wife is good. Just have to wait to see doctor next week but since she is really worried insist on seeing the doctor immediately. 2 Likes |
