I never knew you but u left me with a jewel, another woman I call Mother today. I dedicate this to you my mother's younger sister who I call Mum. You never made me feel like I lost anyone, sometimes I wonder if my mum coulda done more than what you done for me in life and to yes is just been insincere to myself and ungrateful to you. I love you from the very core of me. You treated me like your own offspring, no bias whatsoever. Infact, people don't even know u r not my biological daughter! What a woman!!! You are simply the best and I thank God for you everyday. May you live long to see that your desire of seeing me getting married and taking care of my child. May this desire come to pass speedily. I love you mum!

The best of the best in the land of motherhood.

I dont need to start a journey i will not finish.

Re: Say Something To Your Mum by nanidee(f): 12:45pm On Sep 20, 2010
Mum, love is an understatement, where you are concerned. I need a greater and weightier word to describe what I feel for you, because you are definitely the best, I would never trade you for anything or anyone in this world.

I thank God for giving me the priviledge of having you as my mother.

You are the best mum in the whole wide world.

Sometimes, i sit and wish all women had your gentle and kind heart, not just to her children but everyone one around her. She is so loving to all. I want to have you as my mum over and over again.

God will keep you to reap the fruit of your labour, in Jesus name, Amen.

2 years ago the Lord decided it was time for you to go home. It was hard letting you go but who are we to fight God's will. As each day goes by, I miss you so so much and my heart still hurts. Your children miss you greatly. I agree that where you are now, there is no pain and you are with your first love, Jesus,  and also daddy; but if wishes could come true, I'd wish for both you and dad to be back here to enjoy the fruits of your labor, to enjoy your grandchildren both born and un-born. I wanted you to be there for when I had my first child, i wanted you to be there for so many many great things that have happened in my life and is still happening. You might not be here physically, but you are forever in my heart and i carry your memory with me wherever I go. I carry your laughter, your radiant joy, your beauty, and your dynamic presence with me all the time. I know you are watching over all 5 of us,  thank you for that mom. I love you with all my heart.

p.s. Your mom (our sweet wise granny) is being well looked after. This was  a promise I made to you and is being fulfilled. She misses you so much  too.
Your daughter,
Uche

Dear Mother, the only reason I would rate God before you in my life is because it is He who provided you for me in the first place.

I love you, Mum. I love you beyond comprehension.

The first pen I ever held
The first book I ever wrote upon
The first beautiful word I ever wrote
she gave me.

she gave me
She gave me the very first drop of water I ever took
She gave me the first food I ever ate

The first clothe I ever wore
The first bed I ever laid on
The first blanket to take the cold off me
She gave me

The first tear of joy
The first smile
The first idea on how to go about in life
she gave me

The little me smiled and gambolling around when she silently cried
she never let me know
she never let me know what it took to raise me
Now I know that those days when I moved around with bloated tommy
she was in hunger
those days when I wore the best clothe
she had not too many to display
Now I know that I owe her alot to smile today
and when she dies
dies as a fufilled woman
to be proud of motherhood while seeing me at the top of the world
Iya ni yaa mi ojare
tio se bi Iyaami ko si mo laye
Oosa tiko gbobi
ko saa ti rii pe mo saseyo lohun ti faa tie n bere.

LONG LIFE MUM

You should have made me part of your plan before you brought me
Re: Say Something To Your Mum by amf(f): 2:26pm On Sep 24, 2010
My Mother
1. Who fed me from her gentle breast,
And hush’d me in her arms to rest,
And on my cheek sweet kisses prest?
My Mother.

2. When sleep forsook my open eye,
Who was it sung sweet hushaby,
And rock’d me that I should not cry?
My Mother.

3. Who sat and watched my infant head,
When sleeping in my cradle bed,
And tears of sweet affection shed?
My Mother.

4. When pain and sickness made me cry,
Who gazed upon my heavy eye,
And wept for fear that I should die?
My Mother.

5. Who dress’d my doll in clothes so gay,
And taught me pretty how to play.
And minded all I had to say?
My Mother.

6. Who taught my infant lips to pray,
And love God’s holy book and day.
And walk in Wisdom’s pleasant way?
My Mother.

7. And can I ever cease to be
Affectionate and kind to thee,
Who was so very kind to me?
My Mother

8. Ah, no! the thought I cannot bear;
And if God please my life to spare,
I hope I shall reward thy care,
My Mother.

9. Who ran to help me when I fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
My Mother.

10. When thou art feeble, old, and gray,
My healthy arm shall be thy stay,
And I will soothe thy pains away.
My Mother.

11. And when I see thee hang thy head,
‘Twill be my turn to watch thy bed.
And tears of sweet affection shed,
My Mother

12. For God, who lives above the skies,
Would look with vengeance in His eyes,
If I should ever dare despise
My Mother.

13. For could our Father in the skies
Look down with pleased or loving eyes,
If ever I could dare despise
My Mother.
