Goveror Ifeanyi Okowa who spoke at the Niger Delta Peace and Security Summit held in Koko, Warri North Local Government Area, stated that Nigeria will break up when South-South agrees to join Biafra. The Delta State Governor who was represented by his Executive Assistant/Directorate of Orientation, Barr. Eugene. A. Uzum, stated that some parts of Nigeria were being oppressed just as he cautioned that peace may continue to elude us as a people.

Stating that Nigeria will break up when South-South agrees to join Biafra, Governor Okowa added that until the people in the South-South unite they cannot move forward.

“Nigeria will divide the very day the South-South agrees to join Biafra". He noted that the, “Federal Character system and ethnics” in the country have been grossly mismanaged by our leaders. Unless you are from a particular tribe in this country, you cannot secure a job. Unless you have one big man somewhere, you cannot get a job. Those who control the security apparatus are Hausas. A particular tribe runs the security apparatus.”

The problem of SS is their multi ethic nature.
Every ethnic group in SS is fighting for supremacy.. Urhobo won't allow Ibibio to speak for them,Igbos won't allow Itshekiri to speak for them. Ogonis won't allow Ikweres to control their destiny, neither would Edo allow Ijaws to expand their wings.. Battle for spremacy is one the challenges facing the SS that's why northerners are taking advantage of the situation.
The only thing that is uniting SS is just PDP and Christianity

Untill all these ethnic groups focus more on the things that unite them rather than what separate them, northers won't stop taking advantage of their situation....
The worst is saboteurs among them who claim to be wise whereas their recourses are being controlled by outsiders.. These saboteurs are the ones who won't hestitate to sabotage the collective interest of the region because of half pot of porridge yam he's not sure he would get from those that made such promise to him...

There is no way in heaven or hell Itshekiris will join Igbos in Biafra. Our first choice will be Niger Delta Republic. If that fails, then we will join Yorubas. I do not hate Igbos at all...but I do not trust them.
