Try and probe Osho baba, I believe the cash stolen during his regime will be enough to pay the new minimum wage.

The new minimum wage and the old minimum wage is the same thing? I wondered whether we have a labour Union in this country.

Price of fuel was 87 naira and minimum wage was 18,000 naira.
18,000÷87=206.8965517 litres ( meaning the minimum wage can only buy 207 litres of fuel)
30,000÷145= 206.8965517 litres (meaning the minimum wage can only buy 207 litres of fuel), exactly the same amount even to the last decimal point.

This New Minimum Wage Is Not Even Enough This Period Compared To The Time Of GEJ. . .

So They Should Just Stop All This Fuss About This Chicken Change Minimum Wage Being Too Much. . . If Any Wage Should Be Reduced, It Should Be Their Exhorbitant Salaries And Unreasonable Allowances And Bonuses. . .

I Will Increase Minimum Wage If We Improve On Revenue
Re: Obaseki Tells Workers: I Will Increase Minimum Wage If We Improve On Revenue by Nobody: 1:00pm On May 02, 2019
GidifeedNews:
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has promised to increase the new minimum wage recently signed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He revealed this during a rally to mark the 2019 May Day celebration which held at the University of Benin Sports Complex in Benin City, the state capital.

Speaking on the theme, “Another 100 years of struggle for jobs, dignity and social justice in Nigeria,” the governor noted that the increment would take place if the workers work hard to increase the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state.

Whose job is it to increase or improve IGR in Edo state?

One of the few sensible governors in Nigeria. IGR should be key for all states. Oil price is subject to many external factors and we have to beat down that dangerous mentality of "Nigeria is always rich". Times have changed a lot and it will take a lot of work to sustain Nigeria in the future, not a lot of oil.

Crazy how these governors can openly break laws. The only reason these government heads feel safe is because the laws aren't enforced.

Two ways to pay wages bill. Make cuts or collect more taxes.

All the governors don dey dodge this minimum wage things, the most annoying is this oyo state governor elect who has not even been swear in but he is already complaining about new minimum wage. Yet he was the same man who told oyo state civil servant that they deserve more than 30k minimum wage and that if elected, he will surely pay them the new minimum wage.

Come on tell me one PDP governor that has sense?
Re: Obaseki Tells Workers: I Will Increase Minimum Wage If We Improve On Revenue by Deadlytruth(m): 6:35pm On May 02, 2019
It is obvious that a lot of Nigerians can't read and digest. What Obaseki is saying is that if Edo State civil servants can work more to increase IGR, he will increase the Edo State minimum wage to a figure above the N30,000 just approved by the FG. It would be recalled that Edo State was already paying N25,000 as her minimum wage as at when the national figure was still N18,000.
If the civil servants he was speaking to at that event had understood him as making IGR increase a condition for paying the N30,000, knowing the kind of people Edos are, then the venue of the event would have gone up in flames immediately he made the utterance.

While improving your IGR, it will also be important to reduce cost of governance Mr Governor

Obaseki holds the record for reduced cost of governance in Nigeria. Very modest. Does not waste money on project commissioning jamboree. Only 4cars in his convoy. No loitering around govt house by political jobbers. No comissioner or SA/SSA uses more than one car (no police escort except where it is very necessary and the police man will seat in same car. Commissioners use pajero and not Prado or land cruiser. No new cars were bought for appointees ( they were giving the ones oshiomole bought. Some use 2009/10. Prudently servicing the debt oshobaba left behind without borrowing more. So much more cost cutting initiative put in place by this man.
