Harry potter, star wars and every other cinematic success sell not due to lack of sex, but the factors i mentioned above, I know GOT will still retain its popularity without the nude scenes, but nudity is customary in contemporary movies or TV series to be exact, i can't be too sure of the reason why, but it cannot downplay the beauty of the entire GOT process, form production to acting, to casting to everything involved.
