Ladies and Gents... come ohhh! Application has been approved. Decision to leave Nigeria- since forever. After my MSc in the uk, I came home intending to go back for a PhD. Unfortunately, my mum fell Ill and died. Phd dream had to take a back seat so I could care for my siblings. Eventually got a great job and kept travelling as much as I could. One day, heard about canada ee and decided to try it out. Before I could say Jack Robinson, I met, fell in love and married the most patriotic Nigerian on earth. Started trying to get him to agree to EE... Eventually, he agreed cos he wanted me to be happy. Meanwhile, I started my WES behind his back IELTS: My husband kept dragging his feet until BC increased their fees to 75k lol. We wrote in june 2018 and the man who didnt want to write IELTS had 8.5/8.5/8/8 while I had 8 in all except writing - 6.5. I was devastated. Immediately registered for another exam, even though I was advised to do an EOR. Wrote my second IELTS and had 8.5 in all but writing.... 6.5 again! I no gree oh. EOR straight! Score increased to 7.5. Next hurdle medicals. MEDICALS: I had paid for a vacation to us so couldn't get a favourable date at both children's practice and Q life. Meanwhile, I, the PA, turned 30 so we lost a few points. Didnt want to do medicals in the us incase I needed a repeat. Eventually completed medicals at IOM in November 2018. Meanwhile, ITA was received in October. First AOR: November 30, 2018 First Ghost update: sometime in January. Eventually, update was that our application had been rejected as incomplete. I was so devastated. Apparently the Muslim marriage cert wasn't accepted and I had forgotten to upload the court one. Hubby encouraged me to take it as one of those things, review all our documents again and reapply. 2nd AOR: March 08, 2019. That's when I discovered nairaland oh. You guys really helped my sanity. Eventually raised a cse based on advise I received here as I had forgotten to include one of the associations of which I'm a member of. Got a generic response. In my mind I was like na una sabi Biometrics/MEP: requested on April 25. Completed on April 29, 2019 (I think). Continued waiting while reading nairaland every 1 hr. Lol. PPR: one day, woke up from sleep to an email from CIC. Was so scared cos the last time it was rejection. Started praying oh. Eventually opened it and it was ppr with an adr for schedule A. Straight to nairaland again. Eventually learnt that many people who had previous visa rejections got schedule A. Omo! Filled that form and went through it like 50 times for both hubby and I. Eventually submitted our passports on june 6th after a gruelling few hours at VFS. The wait continued oh cos I'm naturally cautious. Hubby started making plans, me I still dey shake. Yesterday, we got a ghost update and I almost wet my pants in fear cos I hadn't ever read kd anyone who got a ghost update post PPR. Nairaland rescued me... yet again! Asked someone on here who just received copr and he said he had a ghost update like 3 weeks after submitting. I still kept freaking out cos our ghost update was 11 days after submitting passports. Long story short, logged into my CIC account for my daily check and saw application updated, prayer again! A final decision has been made, double prayer!! APPLICATION APPROVED!!! Allahu Akbar. Took a screenshot and sent to hubby. Started sending supplications to God to thank him. God bless y'all. You really helped to preserve my sanity. Looking forward to getting our passports back. Need to start packing and selling stuff off 113 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello All, Please I need advise for a friend. She studied Law, has gone to Law school and did a post graduate certificate in Management. Right now she needs to evaluate her certificate but not sure whether to use WES or IQAS. I’m aware Law students go the IQAS route but the time frame is very long (about 4 months), while WES takes 35 days. Now, the major question is: Can she safely evaluate with WES since she has a second degree anyways? Or she definitely has to use IQAS? Is there anyone with similar experience? How did you go about it? |

Philips49: Very correct. I arrived at the same conclusion. But I predict it would be between 455-465. If there is no 4 weeks gap again like there was in may, there would be a 450 draw or lower in july. But for this month, it is improbable 4 Likes |

Evaluate your LLB with IQAS... it’s better then. WES. So you get your ECA as a professional degree. You don’t need to evaluate your Lawschool Nnee18: 1 Like |

Hi fam! What is the consequence of leaving a profile to expire in EE pool? I created my EE profile last year with the hope of increasing my CRS while in the pool, however, my status changed to ineligible on 1st of April even though it's supposed to originally expire on 28th of June. My question now is, how do I go about creating another profile? Do I need to wait until 28th June? |

Interesting - So what are your assumptions? It kinda seems improbable especially if there are no back to back draws and/or fairly drastic increases in ITAs issued. Otherwise it ain't happening in July, and the month after is not assured either. On the upside, IRCC has target draws to meet. Mind you, they have issued over 6250 or there about ITAs more then this same time last year. However, if they still stick to their 3350 invites every fortnight for the remainder of the year, they will fall miserably short of target, So............... Ola2j: |

YoungDharniel: Why don't you first of all simulate your CRS points with either Masters degree or 2 or more certificates? This would give you an idea on what evaluation body to use base on recent trend in CRS cut-off; the last being 465. |
