Most Bsc too won't, I dunno of other polys oooo,
yabatech students with a GP of at least 3.3, Bros Any test we dey pass anyhow, From Pwc to Kpmg to P&G, coca cola, British Tobacco, Nestle Andela, Totol, chevron, sahara oil, etc we dey pass burst their brain.
Still the Bsc Employers Always discriminate, only talk us as interns and we go still dey run their own work for dem. Until we burst their brain as interns b4 they take us as full time, theya never take us as full time directly. But that we yabatech students are good, they all know that.....

I did jamb 3 times,
first oau said i did wrong course combination ( i passed cut-off
second jamb refused to release my result
third oau list was taking ages, i accepted yabatech admission saying incase oau no click. oau said i shouldn't hv accepted yabatech, jamb can't give 2 admissions to 1 candidates
I don't know of other polys oo, but most people i met at yabatech are intelligent guys who didn't hv time to read for jamb (still had more that 190), guys with unexpected uni admissions issues and guys who choose Yabatech as first choice (Art, computer science and engineering students)
I later went on to a University (Chai most are dull). For yabatech if u get carry over, e dey be lyk u life wan finish (u go too go cry). but when i got to uni, it was a normal thing. Students said it without shame (Omo i get that man course carryover oo)
What i did in ND was the same i did in uni 100lv to 400lv semester, I no even go their class sef, I still burst their brain
Till date attending yabatech is 1 of d best thing God had done for me
If u get less than 180 forget yabatech, na ur money dem go just collect.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by MrMash(m): 5:11pm On May 15
Truth be told, I have not met any Yabatech's product . I apologize if you found my earlier statement offensive.
My assumptions were entirely based on people I have met: which is not right . Cheers bro.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by OkpaNsukkaisBae(m): 8:35pm On May 15
First things first,, nothing like OAU said...(don't put the blame on them). As a prospective student, you're expected to know the subject combination/requirements relevant to your course. Na u wey fvck up..
Secondly jamb do actually give a candidate two admission but in different institution. No dey lie giv us. E sure me say OAU rejected u dat year not bcox of jamb ish
They didn't read yet they scored more than 190...hmmmm. 191 na still more than 190 shey u know??
Why did you then further your education in uni..??

Forget this trash, private sector will NEVER comply.
UPGRADE YOUR SKILL AND CAREER AND GET AN MBA
You must have read about the name either on the internet or whenever you search for the word 'scholarship', or if you use your email service regularly like gmail, yahoomail etc, there is this pop up of UNICAF UNIVERSITY and you are wondering what is it all about? Probably you have been saying this is another scam from some bad African guys in UK or US, trying to take your hard earned money!
Relax! I will give you an up to date info on what it is and how it works and I will also let you know how I got the scholarship for my MBA which I'm currently running, started last year with other colleagues. The programme fee is 12,000 pounds at University of South Wales, but offered at less than 4000 pounds by UNICAF. Briefly this is what UNICAF is;
UNICAF is a registered organisation in UK, US, Cyprus, some countries in Africa and also in Nigeria, the parent company is in Cyprus
It's aim is to bring quality world class education to poor region through SCHOLARSHIPS.
It is first a school and also has a platform for learning
It operates according to global standard for online education.
It is in Africa as an on campus in Zambia and Malawi
It has a standard VLE for learning i.e Virtual Learning Environment, which simulates the class room process
Its operates online for students from any parts of the world and their programmes are self paced.
UNICAF partners with some Universites to recruit students on their behalf and also deliver the learning to the student while the partner schools determine the quality (QAQC) which is set by the schools, the programmes are online and payment is very flexible
Unicaf Univerities in Malawi and Zambia programmes are both online and oncampus.
UNICAF has partnered with these Universities in the past;
Marymount California University USA
University of Nicosia, Cyprus
University of SouthWales, Uk
All the above schools offered their programmes online on UNICAF, through UNICAF's VLE Virtual Learning Environment(VLE)
Depending on ones speed programme can last a year or more since its self paced(Learn at your speed).
Currently, the scholarship for the above listed schools has closed with ONLY University of South Wales, UK Still on AND UNICAF Universities in Zambia and malawi. Please note that USW offer the follwing
MBA – Master of Business Administration
MA – Master in Education (Innovation in Learning and Teaching)
MSc – Psychology
MSc – Public Health
LLM (Master of Laws)
BA (HONS) – Business Studies (Top-up degree)
The author of this post is currently enrolled in MBA programme with Univeristy of South Wales(USW), UK and started last year and would be ready to answer any question from enrollment to how grading is done and also final project. Proof of studentship will be shown in camera if required and may be confirmed from UNICAF and USW UK.

sirqeeboi:Prof S.V Dugga, Prof Josephine Odey, Prof Abah, Prof Amali, who wrote ''Generals without War.'' And one other I can't recall the name now. PhD yakpa. The Great Walls of a university alone should pass a message.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Timekeeper: 5:06am On May 16
Upon all ur mumu talk.. Ur yabatech still dey learn for brilliancy where fed poly Ilaro dey... The only advantage una get na just bcox una dey within lagos where companies can easily access... If you doubt me, try me...
Ilaro far better than yabatech and I mean it
I'm also an Ond holder but currently rounding up my BSc but I miss poly so much.. I miss the competition so much for poly.
For uni, dull head too plenty although genius dey too but most genius for uni are firstly product of poly
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Timekeeper: 5:07am On May 16
Ilaro before yabatech.. Nekede poly before ilaro
Yabatech na 5th position
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Tuntunsin: 10:39am On May 16
I ve gone through the two systems and I can authoritatively say that non of the two is better than the other but they are meant to compliment one another.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by ZinoFasisi(m): 11:54am On May 16
Bros if u are given 2 admission in 2 institution, u can't accept both. I already paid yabatech acceptance fee (cos of deadline) when oau's list was released. When sent to jamb, it didn't reflect cos I already accepted yabatech. You can be offered admission by different institutions but u can't accept more that 1 i.e. u can't print jamb admission letter for 2 diff institutions.
I went to OAU's Admission board, Na where i get all the info.
See this 1 o u think it's easy to finish sec skl 3 years back dey hustle, no time to read and still score 191. Most ya'll read ur life out for close to a year, fresh outta sec skl and some Expo gather Join just to get 210, 220, 260.
That’s why u see students whose name was on merit list struggling to Get B, always scared of not attending classes (believe dem go fail if dem no go class), and find it so hard to learn on their own.
If u had a direct entry students from poly in ur set, u go know we dey para.
Unilag stoped accepting poly students in social and management science cos overtime the previously admitted ones outdone thier own students.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by ZinoFasisi(m): 11:57am On May 16
You wish, yabatech products hv been proving themselves in d Labour Market since time immemorial
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by ZinoFasisi(m): 12:05pm On May 16
Ask people who have met students from both polys, u will hv ur answers.
In Lagos my foot, Is Oau, UNN, Uniben In Lagos?
We are tested and trusted. We find it way easier to find internship placements because we fair better than other polys in tests and interviews.
Most Big organisations I have been to (though their main staffs are dominated by People with foreign certificates), The main staffs that were Nigerian trained were mostly from OAU, Unilag, CU, Bowen, Uniben, Ui, Unaab, UNN and yabatech. other uni products were there too but very few relative to those i mentioned (Which are mostly outside Lagos)
Been outside lagos isn't an excuse, Abi their recruitment website sef dey lagos?

Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by awuf2008: 1:08pm On May 16
This government is known for deceit and falsehood. This issue of bsc/dichortomy has been on for ages and on many occassions , government claimed to have abolished it, yet no implementation. So this one is not news but the usual government propaganda. God help naija.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Omonigeriarere: 3:31pm On May 16
U are just a kid. Most Universities accept them after years if practical experiences. The ones with professional certifications even have upper hand than the so called Bsc.
Productivity is not measured by the school one attended, but by his desire to Lear and improve everyday because I have seen a graduate of University that cannot write application letter, not to talk of essay.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Omonigeriarere: 3:33pm On May 16
You mean until a professor teaches me something, I cannot decode it? Your sense of logic is nothing to write home about.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by wifeesnatcher(m): 3:43pm On May 16
who is this dumb illiterate again? where are they producing these bunch of nuisance from lately?
do you have problem with comprehension? it's obvious English language made you to retake waec 5 times
a graduate with distinction in a polytechnic and a Bsc with third class are on the same level as far as post graduate courses is concern and that's exactly what I stress there
I can't go verbatim because of your low intellect. try and be reading post logically to avoid disgracing yourself here
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Timekeeper: 3:46pm On May 16
Be romancing yourself.. Like I said, yaba is opportuned because it's located in Lagos.... Even nekede poly beat yaba wey dey 5th... I rep ilaro poly number 2 okay
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Omonigeriarere: 3:49pm On May 16
With this your writing skill, I have not seeing his you are better than Polytechnic graduates.
However, my younger brother did all what he could to study a course in a Polytechnic, but he didn't succeed despite all efforts exerted. Behold, he got admitted to OAU to study English language and he is currently serving in Kebbi State.
Time, chance, resources, background, location etc play important role in the institution of learning which one would attend; get it right.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Omonigeriarere: 3:56pm On May 16
U are still a kid as I have mentioned. A further simple research could have deepened your mental horizon on the subject matter instead of barking like a sex-starved Bingo online.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Omonigeriarere: 4:04pm On May 16
If you have not grown beyond the assumption that the school someone attend determines how academically good he is, I doubt whether you are a real graduate.
For your information, the first time I heard of Injira University was after I am done with the marking of applicants in my place of work.
With OAU, Covenant, UI, etc on ground, a graduate of Hijira University came first while a graduate of Federal Polytechnic, Ede came second.
Since then, I have come to realize that educational competency is a personal ambition which anyone can aspire to acquire irrespective of the school one attends.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by wifeesnatcher(m): 4:13pm On May 16
lolz! you want to use me to get attention here, congrats
if federal govt abolished HND/Bsc dichotomy for jobs and refuse to abolish it on academic, the abolition is half accomplished, is that simple sentence much to comprehend? what if I write with complex sentence?
don't your brain function properly on Thursday? you better go and meet your psychotherapist before I go raw with u
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Swtcherries(f): 4:57pm On May 16
Teawhy2011:Get your bsc, that's the best advice someone will give to you, its not too late to get one, many polytechnic graduates are laced with low self esteem and the ones I know claim they graduated from university.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by OkpaNsukkaisBae(m): 6:35pm On May 16
Stop using your brother as cover up
You're a Poly graduate. End of Discussion.
Uni is greater than Poly..
Kiss the truth
PS = can u take a minute to edit your post please.

Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by OndoRaph: 7:57pm On May 16
Omonigeriarere:It's not me friend, that is what they say over there at Senate. Profesing is the highest level of tutorship. Therefore, somebody who learns from a professor should be ranked highest. I doubt if Masters or Ph.D can be achieved in a Poly. Clear my doubt if am wrong.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Omonigeriarere: 8:16pm On May 16
I am not surprised because my explanation is beyond your mental horizon, but how your grammatical construction is still at elementary level despite being a graduate of University of Toronto baffles me a lot: zero punctuation; horrible coherence.
Continue living in euphoria of being a University graduate without self development while students with National Diploma are earning money in hard currency.
Re: FG Approves Abolition Of HND/BSC Dichotomy by Omonigeriarere: 8:31pm On May 16
1. don't your brain function properly on Thursday?
2. you want to use me to get attention here, congrats
3. If federal govt abolished HND/Bsc dichotomy for jobs and refuse to abolish it on academic
Your certificate is supposed to be retrieved from you because you are not even qualified to be a graduate of technical college with this your horrible writing skill.
