Yes. Spirit on electronics is a bad idea.
He should get isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). Brush gently unto the board, then blow dry after.

Just checked on ebay - buying and shipping your rear SAM isn't up to $200 - only ish is the current Corona wahala

https://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-C300-15-17-SAM-SIGNAL-ACQUISITION-MODULE-2059006818-OEM-MU00822-/183382307076

Can't help you compare part nos now, maybe later.

P.s - I forgot, you need a Mercedes Star Diagnostic Scanner Tool to program it after installation, it's not plug and inshallah! A c4/c5 clone will do just fine.

The one in the link below is the right part number:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-CDI-DIESEL-TRUNK-SAM-CONTROL-MODULE-5DK-010-775-82-A2059008304/112934318968

Sorry to derail the thread.

From reading some of posts here I have an impression that there are many interstate travelers in here.

Please, I will be embarking on a road trip from Lagos to Abakaliki after the interstate movement ban is lifted. I wish to know how the road is cos I will be driving down. Will it be wise to drive Honda EOD for this trip?

Not an easy road. I think you'll have to run Lagos to Asaba, which is well known. Then Asaba to Abakaliki. Asaba to Awka is mostly ok, especially if you take the old road.

Awka to Enugu ranges from good to ok, depending on the side you follow.

If you can do Lagos to Asaba with your car, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to do the rest.

No idea about Enugu to Abakaliki.

Get all your papers updated, if your car is tinted please make sure you have a valid permit, if this is your first time going on this journey alone please make sure you are not overspeeding because there are some deep port holes on the road, between ondo and Edo state you will encounter over 25 check points some will just ask for your papers while majority will ask you to find them something i will advise have 100 and 200 naira notes totaling about 3k to 5k. follow commercial buses and make sure your Google Map is also available... Pray the day you will travel there won't be much traffic at the Niger bridge head.. And also don't park anyhow in any of the cities so that the Agberos won't use you chop.... Safe Journey

Very good stretch of road, you'll enjoy the 1 hr ride. Apart from checkpoints!

Lagos to Asaba is the usual. The big pot holes were patched when I travelled during the Xmas period. Drivable, nothing the EOD can't handle.
From asaba to Onitsha is a breeze. Watch out for cars making left turns or coming from your left. Drive gently.
Onitsha to Awka is also fairly smooth. If you want to avoid bad roads, follow the Awka to enugu old road. It will take you through Nkpor, ogidi, ogbunike, umudioka, Abagana, enugwu ukwu to Amawbia.
Continue on the Awka to enugu old road.
There is a right turn along the Awka to enugu old road that will take you to enugu -port Harcourt expressway way. It's a twisting and winding road. There are bumps on this road so drive with care. Nothing the EOD can't handle.
From this point on, it's a smooth drive to abakaliki. This enugu-ph road will take you to nnpc mega station at enugu and a right turn from the mega station will take you straight to abakaliki.
Your EOD will be fine.

Scan the car first then post codes here
Stop throwing parts at your car hoping one will work.
