May 30 Sit-at-Home: We Will Treat Anyone Associated With IPOB As A Terrorist - Police

The Abia State Police Command has warned the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) against any activity capable of truncating the peace and safety of the residents.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Ene Okon, gave the warning in an interview on Channels Television. He said that anyone or group of persons associated with IPOB will be termed as a terrorist and dealt with severely.

“The Nigeria Police Force In Abia will treat any person associated with IPOB as a terrorist and such a person or group of persons will be dealt with according to the law”.

The commissioner’s comment comes in reaction to the sit-at-home-order issued by the proscribed movement, scheduled to come into effect on May 30, 2019.

He noted that security personnel have been put in strategic places, thereby assuring residents to go about their activities without fear.

“I am assuring the good people of Abia to disregard the illegal order and go about their normal businesses as there is every assurance of protection of lives and properties”, he added....

Why should I be afraid when I don't stay anywhere near the East? We just can't have your terrorists run amok and start killing our people when they clash with the police. So sit at home till you grow old or get the python treatment
We've now established that you have no cause for concern about the peacefulness of IPOB as regards the sit-at-home. Let's now address your health vis-a-vis the current wave of depression and the likelihood of you doing something silly.

IPOB is not the cause of your problems, you should learn to take life a little bit with ease. Though I care less about your (in)existence, your family loves you wink

Please lets check the meaning of terrorism:

terrorism
/ˈtɛrərɪzəm/
noun
noun: terrorism

the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

According to Max Roser, "Terrorism is usually understood as the use or threat of violence to further a political cause. There is no universally agreed definition of terrorism making it a difficult object to quantify"

https://www.interpol.int/en/Crimes/Terrorism

Note that no exclusive reference was made about weapons! Only violence & intimidation were clearly spelt out & emphasized. Should I say out of ignorance, most of us believe that terrorism is all about weapons, suicide bombs, armed attacks on helpless citizens etc without recourse to the fact that it goes beyond that. We simply attach weapons to our definition of who a terrorist is. Can one be violent without weapon(s)? Can one intimidate others without weapon(s)? I need your genuine & sincere answers to these questions, please.

By the way, cases are abound where IPOB & their sympathizers constituted nuisance, albeit violently, in the course of impressing their beliefs on others. In recent pasts, they intimidated others for compliance in things like this sit at home order.

Wow, so the Nigger Area Police are now the judiciary and courts abi?

This is what happens when you are either jobless or have not been receiving proper medical screening ditto Nigger Police.

Everything is so militarized since the time of Lord Lugard, through Gowon and Arewa self acclaimed “Generals”, till date, and you wonder how or why a former coup plotting criminal is your head of state today...

Nigeria is a fake country, and its real name is the British Nigger Area corporation, created to siphon resources for the descendants of Britain and the Western world. That is why you have military and police checkpoints around the resources areas while nothing in non resource area (aka Boko Haram/Arewa).

So, you all are in a zoo/cage, and should try to answer your real papa name (Biafra, Oduduwa, Bini, etc) and not the Oyibo slave name Nigeria...

please don't bother yourself with some people, they mostly think we don't know about some of the the atrocities IPOB had committed in the past like trying to intimidate people into sitting at home by instilling fear into them so that they can boast that the sit at home was 100% complied with by everyone.
Stay at home forever and nobody will disturb you but don't disturb others who would want to move around is the simple message of the police.

I'm surprised you took the time to write all this but cant see what is wrong with what you are writing.

1) First of all, none of the acts of violence have ever been proven to be IPOB. The truck burnt in Oyigbo and the death of Nwoko have never proven to be IPOB's doing. Allegation is not the same thing as proof

2) Being a nuisance is not a criteria for being designated a terrorist

3)If intimidation or making threat is what can be used to designate a person or group as terrorists then all of us are terrorists because there isn't anyone out there who has not intimidated or or threatened another person, whether in frustration or anger.

4) In other for an organisation to be seen as a terrorist group, the organisation must have a history of using violence to achieve a political goal. Violence, its self, must be an "action" that is taken to destroy life or property. Talking, is not an 'act'. Has IPOB used violence to try and get Biafra? No

5) Why do you think that America disagreed with Nigeria that IPOB is a terrorist group

6) How is it that anyone in Nigeria can justify labelling unarmed IPOB that has no proven history of killing anyone s terror group when others like OPC, Niger Delta militants and the killer herdsmen are groups that are all armed, killed people and destroyed property, yet they were never designated as terrorists groups?

It is only when it comes to IPOB you'll use your guns well. Common kidnappers, bandits/ Fulani killer herdsmen & Boko Haram cannibalistic terrorist men, you can't fight them. How many Fulani useless illiterate killer herdsmen have you arraigned in court? Confused Nigerian Police...you people are just there doing nothing but collecting N50 bribe. Those bribe you always collect is spiritual curse upon yourselves. Youll continie to beg untill all of you die shameful death. They dont even wash that tarpaulin cloth-like uniform. Very dirty and smelly set of uniformed korofos. My prayer is that Fire and brimstone will fall upon any Nigerian Police and SARS worker who attempts to kill a Nigerian citizen or try to collect bribe from any Nigerian again.. A massive spiritual change is coming to Naija soon. Mark my words today 22/05/2019.
