On Burning the American and Israeli Flags During #QudsDay Protest by the #IMN

Nigerian Newspapers and News websites reported the massive Quds Day protest by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria last Friday. The headlines of some of them was "Shiites burn American and Israeli flags in pro-Palestinian protest". Some Nigerians especially Christians raised issues against this and I will like to make clarifications. I was told Femi Fani Kayode, Former Minister of Aviation, was one of those. It is important to note that Femi Fani Kayode is an Israeli asset in Nigeria. He blocked me on Twitter. This piece is not meant for him and his likes. Even if the Israeli regime slaughtered one thousand Palestinian children in a day Femi Fani Kayode will cheer and celebrate. People like him believed that God sanctioned the ongoing genocide in Palestine in the Bible. A massive deviation! How can God sanctioned the genocidal murders of bloodthirsty Zionist barbarians who hate Jesus (as)?.

Protest is a statement or action expressing disapproval of or objection to something. A whole nation was uprooted from their homes, tens of thousands killed, their farmlands stolen and their dignity trampled. That nation is Palestine.

The International Quds Day was earmarked by Imam Khomeini to show support for this oppressed nation. This is why the Islamic Movement in Nigeria joined the rest of humanity and march on this day. To protest the illegal and unjust occupation of Palestine and the genocidal subjugation of Palestinian Muslims and Christians by racist Zionists.

The Apartheid in occupied Palestine is worst than that of South Africa says all South African officials that visited occupied Palestine. And to quote the great Madiba of Africa, Nelson Mandela: "Our freedom is not complete without the freedom of Palestine".

Dear Friends, if I may ask who are the biggest obstacle to the freedom of Palestine? The answer is the Israeli entity and the US regime. The US regime provides yearly more than 4 billion dollars in military aid to the Israeli regime. The US regime veto all UN resolutions that are meant to condemn the genocidal actions of the racist Zionist settler colonial entity. The US regime sanctioned nations like Iran that are at the forefront of the #FreePalestine struggle. The Israeli regime cannot survive without the massive support of the arrogant US regime. Though US President Trump recently confessed that the Israeli regime would not have survived without the support of the Saudi regime (This is a topic for another article in future InshaAllah).

Burning of flags or the symbols that caused protest is a usual occurrences in protest marches around the world. To burn the American and Israeli flags in pro-Palestine protest is to strongly condemn the murder of innocent Palestinian children. Burning of these flags symbolized the total rejection of the occupation by these entities.

Imagine if you are uprooted from your ancestral land and forced to become a refugee in another land? What will be your reaction and how will you want the larger humanity to react to your plight?

It was revealed recently that the Israeli regime supported the re-election bid of President Buhari. A form of reward for his genocidal onslaught on the peaceful Islamic Movement in Nigeria.
