Please has anyone received any update from Lagos NIV for the rescheduling of interview cancelled for 23 Oct?

Been wondering about this, too.

Hello all,

Can I get scholarship to study in United state?

I was looking at cinematography or photography.

Any useful information will be accepted. I don't have any Bsc yet.

Get a BSc. first, that's the first step.

Depending on your age and the degree bro. If it's a master's degree, you stand a chance. But it's advisable one uses a sponsor rather than self

Hello guys, if i was self funding myself for my program, with bank statements showing more than enough funds, would this affect my chance in anyway?

what advice can you give a third class degree holder aspiring for graduate admission.

1. Get a student copy of your transcript, it doesn't have to be official.

2. Use the free wes evaluator tool on wes website to evaluate your transcript to 4.0 (US scale). It's completely free

3. Get back to me on your outcome. If your evaluated grade is between 2.0/4 and 2.5/4, you stand a better chance foe a "conditional admission" in masters level if you can back it up a little with high GRE score. I will be waiting your your evaluation outcome.

Warm regards

I was self funded and the account statements I took to the embassy was mine. If you are self funded, just ensure that the money in your account can cover you for the two years of your program. You should be fine

Try to do a post graduate diploma in your discipline to boost your chances and grade

Not too good advice.
most schools in the US doesn't value PGD.

I haven't heard anyone mention evaluation of PGD also on this thread. I might be wrong sha

Your score isn’t bad. You have a good good chance so long you can ace the GRE. Some schools accept 2.75/4. Although this is very rare, becos most graduate school requires you have 3.0/4.0. All you need to do is to do an extensive search. Although I’ll advise you to be open about related engineering as schools offering pet engr are limited.

Please house I need someone to clarify me on this:
My sponsor is my elder brother and he lives in the USA with his family. I have gotten admission without any form of funding but my brother is capable of funding me. My school has also approved the statement of account he submitted to them. I'm having this feelings that the VO may think that I'm a potential immigrant. I don't have any property here to present as ties.
Please can our gurus here advise me on this.
Thanks.

Good morning everyone.

Please for those that recently got their visa approved through expedited appointment, have you been able to track your passport or visa status to know where to pick it up?

Use this

Good day house! I've been follower of this thread and I must say that it has been educating, all thanks to everyone of you contributing his/her little idea. I'm awaiting my interview appointment at Lagos consulate. In the meantime, I'm kinda confused about the amount of money available in my sponsor's SOA although it was approved by my school.

The total estimated average cost is $25,219
While the available balance on my sponsor's SOA is $27,880.
I don't have any scholarship.
Please what are my chances at the interview with this funding?? Or do I have to print an updated SOA showing a higher available balance even if it's not going to reflect on my i-20 since I've received it already??

Suggestions please. Thanks and God bless

Please guys, I'll be glad if these questions can be given answers here.
Are Nigerians still eligible for CR1 Visa and
Is US still granting Nigerians the Visa even at the expense of the immigrant visas ban? Someone told me they're, but I needed to post here as I believe there are a lot that have more knowledge and information on every issue here. Thanks in advance

Hello Everyone, Please it too late to complete submit my application for Spring 2021?

i have sorted out my wes and every other thing, i just need to submit. Do you think it is still possible?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by sonofakin: 5:53pm On Oct 24, 2020
I'm not sure if the point you are making here but it is the school that will determine that. It depends on the deadline for international students, if it favours you, click submit. You can ask when they make decisions too. But really, it is all up to your school and your program

Sorry, I have some other questions: my DS 160 carries the Lagos consulate address and my I interview is in Abuja, do I need to fill another one or what should I do?
