God bless you sir, for speaking nothing but truth

I know he can do without them just the way they did without him when he refused to attend state functions.

Who said they were not invited? They were invited....

Even if Buhari didnt want to invite anyone, he would certainly invite Jonathan anyday, anytime
can that devil called buhari attend if his not a president?there is nothing this buhari did not say when Jonathan was president ,we remember what he said about sharia during Jonathan's goverment, we remember he said fighting boko is fight against north ,so he should just stop pretending as a democrat his an Islamist a jihadist

Speak for yourself mr we all know
olaric:
We all know that Buhari doesn't mean well for this country. A president that freely allows personal aids and ministers to issue insulting press statements to elder statesmen can't pretend to be their friend. I personally would have been surprised to see OBJ and IBB attend the occasion.

June 12 isn't About anyone its simply about Democracy, and Courageous Nigerians.

Buhari did the right thing by honoring Nigerian struggle and bringing back history.into the National curriculum.

We also need to give a public holiday to.celebrate the end of Nigerian Civil war. Nigeria can't continue to hide its past.. we need a day to discuss about it, so.that evil people wont rewrite our history.

Agree. We are poor historians in Nigeria. Our schools teach is about the great Benin kingdom, the Shonghai empire, the Greek and Roman empires but when it concerns the defining history of this country useful to explain how we got to where we are now and necessary to chart a different destiny, our books are empty and our teachers are suspiciously silent, binding festering wounds that will never heal. No wonder Nigerians and her leaders continue to stumble about in the dark.

Every other past leader both military and civilian except Buhari has given an account of its stewardship by writing a book detailing every decisions and nail biting maneuvers in the cause of running the government. Long after they left office, they attended leadership schools, public service institutes, gave lectures and symposiums, seminars, and contributions.

Only Buhari never did. He went locked down except during elections where he contested. He never read and never wrote. He was rusting, yet like an archeological finding, we excavated a fading memory and dusted a dying cognitive tissue to become a PRESIDENT.

You see! Nigeria's problem is not the question of the elite vs the masses but an interpolation of both.

senseless.of wat benefit were all the books written by the past leaders to an ordinary Nigerian?nonsense

U spoke my mind about holiday in remembrance of our fallen heroes and heroins.
The only way to quiet sit-at -home of IPOB on the 30th of May is to declare same day as holiday. That day should be declare as a Never Again Day.

It's so disheartening that non-attendance of past leaders at this event has become a great problem to us in this country. If they had attended, would that have solved all the problems facing this country? Na wah o. If not for the just concluded elections in which APC needed South West's votes, would they have recognised this man? They used this as a Greek gift to get votes from the Yorubas, simple. Buhari was in Abacha's government when Abiola was imprisoned and eventually died. If he had his interest at heart then, he would have prevailed on his matter by talking to Abacha.

That is just.the right thing to do, the three national significant day in nigeria, October 1, May 30 , june 12 may 29 is utterly insignificant, its just obasanjo and abiola day.

But may 30 would allow us all discuss our own civil war, from igbos stand point, and from nigerian stand point.

Unfortunately it's all about making sure your opponents did not achieve as much as you did no matter how mediocre your own achievements were.

Lack of knowledge of history is worrying you. Buhari that just came out of prison imposed on him by IBB and abiolas coup were dasuki abused hell out of him.. then gets a call from abacha that had already imprisoned Abiola, Yaradua, Obasanjo, and Diya.. is he stupid to say No and return to prison after lossing his mother and wife? Common man lets be reasonable. Buhari already won the election he needed.no SW approval but made National Stadium Abiolas remembrance.

A cultural day in which millions of Nigerians from all corners of the country came out and vote but the results were never announced.
I know you made this comment through your tribal tainted perspective just because the winner was not someone from your tribe.
I am happy the struggles from that event led to the present democracy we celebrate.
If you say it's a Yoruba cultural day, I take it as a compliment.
