In some countries, some people will be relieved of their duties. Doing same thing and expecting a different result is a good definition of madness. Our sports administration is led by a group of mad people. |

comshots: I just don't understand how soooo many people can be so blind. The governors and senators.... with their huge salaries and allowances ... will never be owed either for any reason whatsoever.... they must be paid on time. But these are the same ones that withhold and divert the salaries and bonuses of the poor. As seen in the comments.... soooo many of us turn a blind eye to this... be suffering in silence.... but now the girls are protesting in order to receive their entitlement and we jump to condemn them.... the very ones that are owed salaries for months... are condemning them. And we wonder why nothing changes... why such cannot happen in other countries without heads rolling. Misery loves company. I'm glad they did the sit in over there.... let the FG be embarrassed internationally. 4 Likes 1 Share |

EmekaBlue:ordega in China earn more than oshola. the average yearly pay of a female footballer in Europe is £24k/year according to BBC recent analysis which is less than what some male youth players earn weekly. the highest paid female footballer is ballon score winner Ada Hagerberg . she earn £360k/year less than what the likes of hazard earn weekly. male players earn 100 times more than the female one but we still see case of bonus dispute between players and countries. the Cameroon players refused to leave for afcon until Friday because of pay dispute 1 Like |

safarigirl: I thought it’s an agreement to be honored whether they loose or win? Why do we Nigerians run down ourselves and players when they don’t perform? I feel if they don’t give u what u want simply overhaul the team bt keep to ur agreements. Also the protest might be because of past events and difficulties collecting their dues even when they perform which is bad. |

Nawa ooo!must it always end like this?? I can't understand why the NFA members continue to embarrass the nation with wage issues. Its bad enough we don't have a structure to navigate a female football league which is definitely cause of their unending corrupt plots which is reflective in the shallow way our team played most times and were outclassed by likes of France and Germany who have female football leagues.they ought to be accorded their entitlements for crying out loud |

helphelp: @ bold: Experience. They've often been promised that they would be paid but that promise is often forgotten once they leave the hotel. Read the second post on this thread and you'll see that the coach that led the Falcons to the 2004 AWCON was still being owed in 2016. 1 Like |

Those abusing them, even after loosing, What of the ones they have won and are still been owed. They need to get motivated. How will they play aggressively when they know that their work will at the End be like free job. I serve with strength, get laid to get motivated to do more |

SocialJustice:Where is it clearly stated that they should play for free , my point is you don't need to be paid , before you play for your country and play well , also citing big players like Messi and Ronaldo for example , if you think big players play for thier countries for the money , then I sincerely don't know what to say to you ... Hazard earns millions of euros per year at Madrid , how much can Belgium pay him , if he relies on why he gets from them to survive. the only reason he plays or Belgium is for the national Honor in putting on his country's Jersey , and nothing more ! Pls limit your comments to platforms like Facebook and Eskimi. that's where you find your kind Nairaland is for highly intellectual folks ... |

safarigirl:You go play make we see, what have u contributed to this nation Nigeria? You think it’s see to play for 90minute. As if they are the only team that lost in this tournament what about other teams that did not even qualify from the group stage or have u forgot that this is the first time we are progressing from the group stage, yes they did it. Because they lost they should not be paid? We the masses are the reason why the authorities are misbehaving. |

Hangulsaram:Mikel , Musa and all our high earning players , cry the same way the falcons are crying over this same issue ..... it's a Nigerian thing , imagine this girls lost yesterday , and today they're so much concerned about thier bonuses , than the fact that they disappointed the nation ..this alone speaks volumes .... And saying those players get Vip tickets , I'll give you your own pie " Stop saying what you don't know " Lastly restrict your comments to the romance section , if at all you must remain on Nairaland ...thank you 1 Like |
