GT Bank charges about 483$ presently.I recently ordered for an item of 149$ about 61,220 to naira but to my biggest surprise I was debited (173$) 71,220naira abt 10k more ,I was a novice didn't know GT rate was different from the official naira to dollar rate and I called GT bank customer care service to complain but they couldn't give me good explanation they were telling me to contact my seller because they only pay the seller wat is requested and they don't charge any additional penny so I contacted my seller and was told I was only charged 143$,I later got to understand d reason after making some researchs ���

They are using their limit being $200 to extort us...its so unfair their are other banks charging @450 but capped @ $100 monthly.

Then again different banks get different rates, do well to confirm first

Stanbic IBTC was 450/$ when I used GTBank @483 1 week+ ago...not sure how many now though, but its like almost all of them are now 480+/$.

Standbic is not major like that sha, access, Zenith, gtb are all above 470, so the minor banks will be selling dollar at a cheaper rate to get more customers definitely, it can't be the same rate everywhere, e dey fluctuate.

Please who done use this virtual card of recent and did they allow you to spend more than 200 usd?

Against aliexpress next black Friday, I try to experiment with the card, try to spend around 500usd to see if truly they allow above 200 usd, instead of getting insufficient fund, it was showing "above spending limit". Please who can confirm from recent experience, what the status of this virtual card and it "super powers"

Don't worry. An 8 item combined package I have being handled by Speedaf also arrived Nigeria yesterday and begun customs clearance process today. I give it that clearance will be completed this week barring any unforseen circumstances. So by Saturday or Monday I expect to get a call.

The package has like three tracking numbers all attached to it and all three can be tracked. Two numbers of RB..... and a third by Speedaf which handled the combined package.

Got a refund on Stanbic today following a dispute I won two days ago on a 10.24 usd item. The equivalent naira refunded to me was 4,864 naira. That comes to around 475 naira to the dollar.

On Zenith, purchased an item worth 33.29usd today. Debit equivalent in naira was 15,969.04 naira. That comes to around 479 naira to the dollar.

So apparently with the rise of these ones from the initial 470 naira, that of GTB too, as mentioned by someone few posts back, has gone up to 482 naira.

Please I'm a first time buyer on AliExpress. How am I going to know if my parcel is around and what will be the solution in the event that they couldn't reach me when they call because some times people say they call my line and I wouldn't see their missed calls on my phone.
