When is the best time to buy your children a phone that they can use to make calls and access the internet?

Do you mean what age?

From 5 you should allow them access to smartphones and computers.. Then maybe introduce internet around 13.

Male child: @16

Female child: @ 18

We live in a digital age so might as well introduce them to technology/the internet that they’re going to be exposed to anyway on YOUR terms and guidance, the earlier the better in my opinion, would be nice to hear from some parents who have gone through these decisions

Well it is not like you have to do 5, you can decide what you want. I said 5 because at 5 most kids are already asking questions. So it will be easy to install loads of informative apps and brain tasking apps on the device for them.

If they fully understand how the devices works and the OS in general then you can introduce the internet world to them. If you introduce the internet first, they might get carried away and won't wanna learn how the devices works. That way they can get a job easily on the internet and elsewhere..
