Public Alert No. 0011/2019 – Recall of Eva Premium Table Water 75cl Due to Change in Colour and Presence of Particles.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has directed Nigerian Bottling Company Limited to recall Eva Premium Table Water 75cl as a precautionary step pending investigation by the Agency. The company voluntarily reported to NAFDAC on June 20, 2019, a change in colour of the product from colourless to light green and presence of particles in two lots.

The affected Eva Premium Table Water 75cl was produced between 22nd and 23rdMay, 2019 at Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, Asejire, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The details of the affected Eva Premium Table Water 75cl are:

Eva Premium Table Water 75cl. 23/05/19.15.15 AC4230520

Eva Premium Table Water 75cl produced by Nigerian Bottling Company is registered by NAFDAC. The NAFDAC Registration Number is 01-0492.

The production of Eva Premium Table Water 75cl at Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, Asejire, Ibadan, Oyo State has been suspended pending the outcome of investigation being conducted by the Agency.

NAFDAC implores distributors, wholesalers and retailers to immediately stop the distribution and sale of the affected Eva Premium Table Water 75cl. They should return the stock of the affected product in their possession to Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, Asejire, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Consumers are advised to report adverse events related to use of this product to the nearest NAFDAC office, NAFDAC PRASCOR (20543 TOLL FREE from all networks) or via pharmacovigilance@nafdac.gov.ng

Eva should be owned by nigerian Coca-Cola presently, right? If so, they should also look into their other products. It will be nice to also have them check satchet water in the market as some students have complained. But noting that these students are from Universities with biochemistry and microbiology departments, the students should analyse those suspected products and present results to NAFDAC and the public.

A setup like this would do for water purification, because one can’t trust these companies again.

When you’re left with no choice then you have to drink what is then available grin Ekp people will understand with the amount of water we drank there, we was lucky to escape cholera self.
