“Chinese-owned smartphone company, Transsion Holdings (owners of Tecno, itel and Infinix) have the best selling phones in Africa, but they have never sold a single phone in China.”

I just keep wondering why this is so, yet they have over 47% sales coming from Africa alone.

From experience I have noticed that some of these phones have very short life span no matter how careful you are in usage

They know the consequence of selling sub-standard products to their own country-men undecided

I can remember when they launch in Nigeria, I made the grave mistake of patronizing them. Thank God I didn’t put both feet in their muddy water, just to test I bought a phone of 60k only for the screen backlight of the new phone to go off (no external cause) within one month of purchase.

Their nonsense Calcare dribbled me for one additional month before underpricing my phone by 50% and giving me a refund in form of another substandard Techno product. I can never forget cry The crowd of people with complaints in their Calcare offices is an indicator of the low quality of their phones.

For anyone that cares to listen DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS rather get a Samsung or Huawei or any other brand that goes through rigorous product testing. A word is enough for the wise.

They are not affordable. This poo is more expensive than good phones like dooge and Xaomi phones. It's just availability that makes you guys buy this nonsense. You go to the mall to get phones and all you see is these tomato phones . Then iPhone and Samsung
The average person will just purchase the rubbish expensive techno phones and call it cheap

Africans are poor 100$ is 36,072 naira . and am sure everyone eat more than 100naira a day in school so if a American kid save is lunch money for 2 weeks he will by iPhone xs. I Nigeria you can only by a touch light phone so taking Tecno to develop country is just like talking locking your well in raining season

Tecno is affordable.
Tecno has different brands for all class of citizens
Tecno has good marketing strategy.
Tecno uses low cost, and focused low cost strategy
Tecno is top the Nigerian if not African market.
Enough of this demarketing strategies by other brands to sell their products stick your brand

What made the product "sub-standard"? Because they don't service their host country?

BTW, their factories are no longer in China, they started in China first, but serviced other continents before opting fully for Africa. You can read up on this via the internet.

you have to understand that most of their devices are budget friendly, so yes its a perfect brand for the African market.
