Atiku's witnesses made the case easier for Buhari and APC . They inadvertently defended and supported Buhari's election through their testimonies at the Election Tribunal. Nice One 3 Likes |

123boscolemmy: Amen to that. Personally, I think Alhaji Atiku missed a golden opportunity to concede victory to PMB by calling him up to congratulate him after the election. He would have built on the precedent set by GEJ who threw in the towel and earned international accolade as a statesman who loves his country. Had Atiku done this, he would have helped to heal the division caused by the election and help reduce ethnic tension. I find it very embarrassing that this man now has to prove that he is a Nigerian at 70+ years or that he actually won the election based on the result copied by an Kenyan from an elusive server! Atiku needs new advisers and lawyers. It is not too late for him to do the right thing and take his rightful place amongst the pantheon of great African leaders like GEJ et al. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Wasky101:It's in electoral matter that the tribunal has 180 days to deliver the judgement. From Tribunal down to appeal and Supreme court in total they have less than 300 days to give the final verdict. The 300 days are for only matters related to election 1 Like |

If the judgment do not favour Atiku we will not take it Nigeria will Burne .Judiciary betrayed him ,IPOB betrayed him ,PDP betrayed him ,Obasanjo betrayed him ,secondus betrayed him,Afenifere and Idigbo betrayed him, Even Fanikayode and wailers on Media /Nairaland betrayed him.I will sorry for him because he will feel the pain privately like he is an Orphan if care is not taking he may wish to relocate to Cameron though some people said it is his father land. 1 Like |

Wasky101: Election petition has clearly stipulated time in the electoral act. 180days at the tribunal, 60days on appeal court and 60days for appeal at supreme court. However, the appeal court is the tribunal for presidential election. Therefore the presidential petition has a maximum of 240 days to run its life. 1 Like |

GoodGovernance: Leave that for the PEPT to decide or you are PEPT? By the way, one of Atiku/PDP's plea is either to be declared winner or the election be canceled. So your, postulation of cancellation is within his plea. Now we know that the result issued to buhari is fraud! |

Ultimatezlant:Isn't it unfortunate that rather than be appreciative that Atiku's petition would deepen our electoral jurisprudence while strengthening our democracy, you rather throw drivel ? Anyway, this petition will be another Atiku's contribution to our democracy like all his early democratic litigation. Thank God it is an Atiku who has the means to shoulder the costs of litigation else it would have been the usual 'God dey'. |

Ultimatezlant:In 2007, his quest led OBJ to want to remove him as VP cos he defected to AC having been blocked by OBJ in PDP. The matter went upto the supreme court and he got the ruling that is now the basis of tenure security of VP/Deputy Gov. Thus, the only way a Vp/Deputy gov can be remove is same as the president/gov even though, they came via joint ticket a defection is never such basis. Thanks to Atiku we would have been having crisis of governors removing deputy on flimsy reasons. |
