Printerscanner:

In the first Republic when Nigeria practised Regionalism, it was only Igbos that were running to other regions. Yorubas stayed in their region to develop it, Hausa/Fulanis went to other regions to sell their cows and return home while Igbos went to other regions to live permanently because Igbo region was not developed and will never be developed, even Ijaws, Urhobo, Itshekiri and others stayed in their home towns. Only Igbos can't live without other tribes.

You are big foool, the Igbos went there to take business opportunity , they know that they can outwit other people in business.

Wetin carry my handle come here again? grin
Firstly have you considered that we got to dislike Igbo majority behavior AFTER marriage? Mainly because we were so liberal and didn’t give anything about the stereotypes before?
It’s on you that people that come into close contact with majority of your folks are increasingly repulsed.
Secondly, keep my handle off una lips-or fingers in this case.
I’m on e-vacation henceforth. cheesy grin

Yoruba are scare of Competion but we lead in almost everything in this tough country grin

Nnamdi Azikiwe should have grabbed the chance to put secession clause in our constitution

Oyo state is almost the same size as Entire South East

Our Land is not fully developed and we still have everything we need around us, migrating to anywhere in Nigeria is unnecessary

You guys are the one trooping to our region but you want us to go and do what in your region exactly?

The Yorubas did not support any Operation Python anything. I think some just laughed at N. Kanu being dealt with because he was uncouth and insulting the Yoruba. Majority looked on with concern at the use of the military to suppress civilians.
For reasons known to him he decided to attack the Yorubas. Should have stayed on message. His fight was with the Fulani? The North? The zoo? Not sure because he was a scattershot and just insulted everything that moved.
I see that a lot here too. A lot of The Igbo posters just like to insult and try to denigrate. Can’t make their submissions without it. A bit of a shame. Some Yorubas too are guilty of that. Should stop

To your submission: The Yorubas don’t care about the Igbos. Up to you to do what ever you want. We don’t think of you guys collectively. We have our own region to worry about.

What we do care about is that the SS ethnic groups don’t want to go along with you in your Biafra and somehow your maps always includes their territory. grin grin There are Yoruboid groups there like the Itsekiri or the Akwa-Ibom people etc that suddenly find themselves Biafrans when they would rather be Sudanese first than to be in the same country with the Igbo grin
Conversely a lot of Edo & itsekiri and middle belt may decide to stay with the Yorubas since we are Easy-going

If you go with all your 5 SE states, whose business is that? Only yours.

The only issue in minding our business is that since half of your tribe is in our land, we are finding that we have to plan for your people (and other tribes to be fair, but mostly y’all) over-stretching our public services.
The one thing you can be sure of if the country splits is that the Fulani (of recent) & the Igbo are likely to find Yorubas very protective of their indigenous population and citizenship and land rights. Don’t be surprised if your 99 yrs C of O is changed to 20 years and only renewable for the indigenous grin. Stringent Visa to come to the West for Igbo but simple processes for Ijaw or Ibibio or Tiv etc grin cheesy . You can reciprocate but since we don’t come to your region, whose loss grin
So much for dominating the Yorubas in our own land or whatever you guys like to say grin

Remarkably, whenever Igbos talk about braking out of Nigeria and being on their own, Yorubas and their Hausa/Fulani cohorts will scream blue murder.

You will hear Yorubas say they can survive on their own

You will hear Hausas say they can survive on their own

But as soon as MASSOB or IPOB say Igbos should be on their own, it will be python dance and terrorist tag, fully supported by Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani

If Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani were really confident about standing on their own, they would have been in full support IPOB or MASSOB

The truth is that of the three majority ethnic groups in Nigeria, only Igbos are confident of leaving Nigeria, Igbos have left before.

The other two are just noise makers who are very scared of Nigerias break up

Those are heritage sites that show the era, the era’s architecture and really should be designated as UNESCO sites.
They are next to the modern cities.
I don’t expect you to understand as most of your heritage sites have been torn down either in the ill-advised war or for monetary gains (to build one of those crowded 4/5 story buildings).

It’s part of what makes a Yoruba man well-rounded. Our heritage. And since we have land, we just build next to it.

But Buhari and APC are doing everything to make it happen.

It's unimaginable that the core north that contributes the least in national development, have all the positions in government, jettisoning Federal character and quota system they introduce themselves. How can they have NPA and customs...that should be left to SW, NNPC..that should be left to the SS..but still keep FCT? This is in addition to controlling all the 3 arms of government

It's absurd that Buhari and the cabal are not able to read the barometer of the temperature of the nation...

Party politics should not mean the winner takes it all especially in a complex diverse country like Nigeria. APC has no wisdom nor tact.

Buhari was so selfish with his appointment damn! Even Abacha won't descend so low on croynism and nepotism.... and the southwest kept quiet for a struggle they both worked for....too bad

It doesn't matter if Oyo state is the size of of planet Mars, what matters is capacity.

Real people dont wait for secession clause before they go for their freedom

If Nnamdi Kanu waves a Biafran flag in the East, some people in Ibadan will start foaming in the mouth

A prominent Islamic scholar, Dr Ahmad Abubakar Mahmud Gumi, has declared that Nigeria will disintegrate and that the North will suffer most compared to the other regions.

According to him, in the face of a possible break up, the Southwest will be relatively stable; Southeast will be stable, but the North will be volatile.

Narrating what Nigeria will be like if disintegrated, the cleric said, “I see chaos and probably Nigeria can even disintegrate. And disintegration will be bad for Nigeria,” he was quoted by Sun.

“Let me tell you about the North if there is disintegration. The worst thing any country will like is to have an unstable country as a neighbour.

“So, Southwest will be relatively stable; Southeast will be stable, but the North will be volatile. How can we contain Boko Haram in the Northeast? No way.

“How can we contain the problem of the herdsmen in the North? We cannot contain them.

“In fact, the little weight the Southwest and Southeast are adding to fight them is what is suppressing them, but if you go and leave us with them we will just eat ourselves and you have a very volatile North and I do not think we will have peace there because the borders are not barbed-wires and there are so many inter-marriages.

“In fact, Nigeria will just be like another Lebanon or Yemen. Nobody can control the North because nobody has monopoly of power in the North.

“The herdsmen, if they have any iota of political acumen, even if they are evil since your man is in power what do you do? You lie low to allow him to have the power.

“You don’t become so virulent that you end up destroying the northern power by attacking people everywhere not caring who is there. Let me tell you this.

“Nobody is in control of the North now. No northern politician has that clout to embrace everybody in the North.

“Everybody in the North is with his clique and that is a very dangerous situation for the country. The Southwest is divided into two equal house and nobody is in control there too, but generally, the people there are not violent.

“They can negotiate and stay in peace. The people of the Southeast seem to understand each other because their own is business. I see it to be more stable even though the Kanu IPOB people are there because generally the population there can understand and negotiate.

“They can only have population problem if people ask them to go back to their region. But the North? So, you can just imagine.”

I think only we the people of the South South should break away and form the Niger Delta Republic, all these other greedy tribes are only interested in our oil and sea, without us they can't survive.
Form Niger Delta Republic Republic, leave the Igbos with their Biafra and Yorubas with Oduduwa Republic and North with Arewa.

Breaking away doesbt happen by magic. Before you even talk about breaking away, there has to be some agitation on the ground for it. I dont see any agitation for a Niger Delta Republic

The only agitation in Nigeria for a separate country is that of Biafra

What is the meaning of independence? It’s about breaking free from shackles of bondage.

The Yorubas are not in bondage hence there is no need to be bitter about everything.

I don’t care if this country break up or not, it’s none of our concern so direct your anger to the Northerners. They are the one you should be bitter at and not the Yorubas!

Of course Yorubas are in bondage, that's why they have been begging the North for restructuring so that they can control their own land. And the North have said no.

When you have to beg so that you can control the resources of your own land, you are in bondage.
