If u feel that a young lady does plastic surgery because she "goes on SM and sees that big butts and boobs are the trending stuff", that means every young lady who has d means would have done plastic surgery by now. So it is ur taste that makes u choose not to smoke even though u watch Benson& Hedges advert all d time on TV. If it doesn't appeal to ur taste or ur need to smoke, no amount of advert will make u go 4 it.

Is it every product that is advertised 2u that u buy even if u have d means? As an adult, u have a choice to decide what u want irrespective of ur socialisation or d amount of info in d media, whether it b social, electronic or print. Advertisement isn't magic. It thrives on our needs& tastes. It doesn't just change people just because they are exposed to its content. D products created are d main thing. Advertisements creates awareness on d availability of d product & where to get them.

What advertisement does is to create awareness about d availability of a product or service. No matter d noise they make about d product, if u don't have a taste 4 it, u won't go 4 it. That's y I told u that we live in an age of consumerism, an age driven by tastes, not advertisements. D advertisements are only needed by manufacturers to channel as many of those latent& unsatisfied tastes to their side.
