Would you rather directionless and obviously overwhelmed Jonathan manipulated his way to remain? In 2015, we thought Buhari would provide a direction, he disappointed us. But when some Nigerians say that Buhari's failures somehow validate the suggestion by some bigots that Jonathan should have rigged himself in in 2015, I despair. To me, it only proves that Buhari hasn't got all it takes. He was overrated. But that won't make me overlook Jonathan's many foibles. He wasn't fit for the high office either. I'm really disgusted at the comments of mostly youths in nairaland. It throws up an uncomfortable dose of hate, napotism, tribalism, hubris. Very few commentators show fairness, Justice and patriotism..It's always a blind defence of some and unrestrained demonization of others, the dividing line being entirely ethnicity and religion. And a good number of these are youths below the age of 30. It really worries me what the future holds for this country. To be sure, no country develops by base sentiments. You don't have to love your fellow citizens but you must respect them and give them justice. That's the minimum, otherwise everyone is doomed.
