Desiring more means you work for it. When you earn more, that more becomes your means and you should live within it while aspiring for more.

Not living within your means is when you have an inflow of 100 and an outflow of 10,000. Definitely, there is an imbalance that leads to a lot of thing like loans. Now if you earn 100 and borrow 150, it isn't bad. Or you borrow 1000 to invest, it is wise or but you earn 100 and borrow to balance your outflow of 10,000, you are flawed.

Same for trying to cut corners in a bid to live waaaaay put of what you can afford.

Imagine earning 50k monthly and renting an apartment that cost 400k annually. That is recipe for headache

You are the true son of your father. It's people like you that should genuinely be role models and not vintus obi and his likes.

The stupid directionless leadership that has run the north to the ground.
EVERY youth has to have ambitions to be better and more prosperous than their folks.
Lift the populace out of poverty instead of telling them it's gods purpose to be poverty ridden

You are free to go the way of Evans or Wadume

Try following the drug criminals in Saudi

Or the Scammers on FBI's list
Or follow the way of the president's son who crashed power bike worth tens of millions.

I guess that one is another good example of living within the means of Nigeria.

That is what people say when they tell youths to live within their means.

You can't be 21 and racking up loans your 42 year old self won't be able to pay. The world today has made it look like it is a crime to be poor or a crime to not be as rich as your peers which pushes people into crime or take financial decisions that will ruin them
I now see why Ipods don't like you. You speak the truth how it is.

I really need a leader that can inspire folks. Who has the vigour and vim to transmit a 'can do ' spirit, positive vibes to galvanise society towards greater responsibility, productuvity, independence and prosperity.

When nations face tough challenges everyone needs a Kennedy type of leader, a leader that challenges their inherent abilities and unleashes their potentials in a manner that unifies the citizens across tribal and religious fault lines especially amongst the youth. If our leaders are readers they should tap into the lives of these iconic leaders across historical times.

There is too much negativity about this leadership it is stiffling this country and stunning ber citizens into hopelessness. Almost everytime Mr. President travels out you hear one depressing discord or the other. He is either scolding his citizens like a testy headmaster or berating the institutions of this country into absolute perplexity.

One is beginning to suspect that the present leadrership of this country may indeed be closet socialists. What else can explain this recurrent negativity.

I respect your views and I agree to an extent. But if I may ask, in a situation where the economy is going to shit, prices of goods and services are on the constant rise, inflation with no deflation but income is on the downward slide, very high level of retrenchment, how then are the people to survive??
Because if we look at it without being bias, a lot of companies have moved their base to benin republic and Togo, it takes the grace of God to get a job that pays 100k. The government still makes policies that keep killing the nation and hurting the economy all in the bid of making extra cheese for their own bread and not leaving anything for the people to survive on...

So... as the price of things in the country increases, the government should follow the trend by creating a law that addresses this...
We can't have law makers who double as law breakers..
Buhari really has nothing to offer... he has failed. But then the people themselves are the problem we have in Nigeria. Not the leaders

Do u have any idea what it means to be poor in Nigeria. Its almost as worst as death. Even the rich in Nigeria are suffering not to talk of being poor. Buhari as a president is suffering. Imagine traveling to the uk everytime hes sick then what hope does the poor have. U can't sit at the comfort of ur home n say its ok to be poor in a country like nigeria.

you skipped over my first question. so again what if your means is not enough to live. your definition of living within your means with the example of inflow of 100 and outflow of 1000 presupposes that the outflow wasn't spent on needs but wants. where the 1000 was spent on necessities like food shelter transport and education. is that living outside ones means as well? or one should forfeit feeding because he needs education or feed and live under trees.

If you cant cope in the environment you are why not move to another that is cheaper to balance out there.
I had a friend that was having it hard in Lagos. He later moved to Ijebu Ode got a decent job, moved to a decent apartment and is doing good for himself. Lagos Abuja and PH is not for every one. If you are not financially capable of coping there then move to a more accommodating state. Even back in USA, it's not every one that can cope with life in New York.

Cut your coat according to your size. Live within your means. If you don't have means go back to where you are coming from and restrategise.

Do not like Buhari, but these words are nothing but true. The biggest problem in Nigeria is that people are used to living above their means and they are willing to kill to maintain their lifestyle.
