[s]If you had sense you would have understood the sentence he made.
About the fuel-less generator Emeka Nelson never claimed to be the pioneer of the first fuel-less generator set, neither did he also claim such ground in regards to the machine that converts waste to flammable gas[/s]

He did absolutely nothing worth reporting.

If I can find it on YouTube, it isn't new.

In 2015 Buhari and Tinubu invented Change, it turned out to be fake
Again in 2019 they went back to the drawing board and came up with Next Level, this time it became a disaster.
2023, we Nigerians are hopeful that either Tinubu or Osibanjo will invent another magic trick from the ruins of their 8 years of blunder.

I sincerely doubt if any worthy scientific invention could be made in our environment. Inventions depend on certain infrastructure which we are yet to have. So it is likely that we may make only basic inventions and not the type that earns one a Nobel Prize or global prize. There is sure to be exceptions but it will be extremely rare.

You don't have to invent something to win the Nobel Prize. Einstein did not invent a thing, all he did was think hard and have someone else do the math. And the only infrastructure he needed was his brain, a pad of paper and some light.

My point is dat if we are beginning to get to dismantling a petrol generator to make "inexplicable" connection on it to use waste, concert waste or reduce fuel consumption den we are getting there b dat.. Becos las las it is borne out of d need to alleviate what we are used to

Energy must come from somewhere....
What those guys did was turn a generator into an inverter which already exist....
Look here, don't let emotional nationalism becloud your sense of judgement...
Western people also had their own generous dose of academic n scientific fraudsters who were exposed n shamed, some even went to jail....

See Nigerian thinking!

To them now, dem don catch thief.

So they dont need to believe anybody again. America, that is at the forefront of inventions, these people think America got there by mistake.

There were a lot of trials and errors along the way, false claims that led to actual inventions.

So when we see inventors who claim to have created an invention, we give them the chance to prove themselves and then build on that invention not drag them in the mud.

don't try to show nigerians your invention, they'd kill the plant before it grows............. sad cool

You mean you and your team just sit down look for people (that thinks, practice, research how they can impact the society), just to discredit their work and research?

And your headline don't even tally up with your write-up.

And for those that appeared true, how have you and your team able to assist them?

A team for failure research is an enemy of progress team.

If this was how the developed world were acting, they wouldn't have gotten to where they are today.

They can do anything to cripple Blackman innovation and and award the glory to themselves. That's the obvious truth. Abi you wan tell me say na only white man God give brain?? People thought when you are called an inventor you should necessarily have to be the one to invent the particular solution.

In that case, Thomas Edison would be disappointed to know that he's been disqualified as the inventor of the bulb light because he only perfected on that invention and did not invent it. Humphrey Davy did.

Obviuosly, this is the reason why this so called buster team is still yet to be noticed in the country.

Enemies of progress and discouragers never go far in life as much, they remained unnoticed till death.

Solution: if you want to go far and be noticed in the society and the rest of the world, change the type of service your team render. Be like the people you mentioned in your post.

This type of business won't take you anywhere.

It's the Philip Emeagwali's claim that is the most ridiculous of them all.

Till date, some of his gullible folks are still regurgitating & recycling that fallacious & nonsensical claim.

Father of the Internet my hairy black blokos! grin

Bill Gates of Afrika kooor, Alisher Usmanov of Antartica niiii! grin

I know that some claims were fake or unproved, but you must be a simpleton if you swallow everything the western media tells you , hook line and sinker.

By the way, please try and understand what computing is before you make uniformed conclusions about my reply to your post.

Phillip Emeagwali never made any claims of contributing to the internet, he only was a gifted mathematician/computer scientist who made a major breakthrough in supercomputing.
The internet as at Phillips prime was a strict preserve of the military and top organizations. The only link between Phillip and the 'internet saga" was that his breakthrough in supercomputing opened a lot of possibilities for the internet (then exclusive to the military and top organizations). But Phillip was never even a network engineer, he was strictly a gifted mathematical/computer science guru who made a breakthrough in increasing massively the computational ability of available machines then.

Forget the rest of the names, Emeagwali and Emeka nelson are their target.

Who still wonder why we don't want to share same country with them?

the problem is by our media and also the populist .Not knowing the difference between a new innovation (invention) and modification of existing invention.if I make something new in Nigeria that has been made somewhere else in the world.its not regarded as an invention in the science world .the problem is that we are far behind in research and development. some of the things we are just discovering now have been discovered long ago by some developed nations. There is a body that screens all inventions and ensure that nobody has produced something similar .however we must encourage our people who have made effort in doing something.someday we can end up discovering something totally new.also there is world politics and also some developed countries may not want to acept some innovations as coming from Africa.

TBH there are very few things that are entirely novel especially when it comes to inventions. New scientists build on the work of the old scientists.

The important thing is to create an enabling environment where the inventors’ imaginations can be properly harnessed; as thereafter new inventions would be realized.

Fraud and lies in the among intellectuals in education sector. And yet we stereotype and blame ethnic groups for exporting all forms of fraud and tarnishing Nigeria's imagein other countries.

They are not all frauds, Phillip never made any claim to the internet, he made a serious breakthrough in the field of supercomputing opening up a whole new world of possibilities for the internet (which was exclusive to the military and top organizations then). And his contribution was a MAJOR contribution.

PS: Try understanding the major differences between Viruses and other microbes if not this section won't make sense to you.

Also, Ezeibe's purported cure to HIV was definitely on the right track. If you have an observant eye, you will know that ARVs and PEP (post exposure prophylaxis) medications for HIV have aluminium magnesium silicate compounds, thus it can be inferred that the compounds are inhibitive towards viral growth. Also note that he said the drug administered over months can stop the growth of the Virus and I believe this.
Also note that viruses are basically non-living (DNA or RNA strands encased in protein coats) till they find a host, and Ezeibe made mention of nano particles of aluminium magnesium silicates (if you studied organic chemistry, you will know the above have the capacity to interference with the structure of protien/aggregates of proteins which can destabilize the encased DNA or RNA strands effectively inhibiting the replication of the virus)
Thus Ezeibe's submission was actually at very least, FACTUAL. It may have been crude, but with a little development it could have made major headway.

About Abalaka, his purported cure was a Substance gotten from bees. If any man has basic deductive reasoning capacity, he will see the salient fact that insects have the ability to neutralize viruses. In 2004 when I was in primary 4, I asked my teacher why mosquitoes could not transmit HIV from a +ve person to a -be person even when the virus was in the blood sucked and dumped by the mosquitoes (in contrast plasmodium, which causes malaria is being transmitted through the same means). I got no answer, but ruminations will show that there are substances that make the internal environment of insects not conducive for viruses, thus isolation of those substances can in essence "kill" or modify viruses rendering them ineffective. Recall that ZIKA virus which killed people in south America was engineered inside Aedes mosquitoes, cerian insects have the ability to modify viruses neutralizing them or aggravating them.

Abalaka was in fact correct.

But you have to understand that HIV is big business and its not about there being no cure, but that some fellas don't just want a cure. The two guys I mentioned above are brilliant no doubt, but they just faced a battle that they couldn't win (except with the help of God.)

The media might just be used to discredit them and make them look like frauds, don't follow the western media hook line and sinker.

Yes but the sort of things you see at patent offices are tangible ideas that become methods to solve problems. You don't see equations of gravitational lensing or gravity waves or general relativity in the patent office

I didn't say that you needed inventions to win a Nobel Prize. I only said that the type that merits such awards would be difficult to achieve in our environment. Even then, there was no outright ruling out of such possibility. A theoretical physicist does not need to make any inventions to win the Nobel Prize and quite a number of them have won the Nobel Prize, ranging from Albert Einstein to Richard Feynman. Even then, the essence of inventions is not to win prizes but to contribute to the improvement of humanity as well as expand our understanding of the universe. Shalom.

Good one!!

For every scientist out there, caution must be applied at every stage...

There are so many publishing platforms, international conferences that chase scientists for papers or editorial reviews, the payment option only shows up after submitting the article or abstract, a surmise of many hard years of labour!!

Caveat... Not all fee-paying journals run this scam. Some mostly peer reviewed, charge a fee to enable open access and encourage wide readership of one's articles.
