What he has done is commendable and should be done as the opportunity arises given the resources to spare at that point in time. It is God who blesses and He alone gives it all. There's no need to quote how much is spent on doing such. Render whatever assistance you can to the best of your ability.
It is nice they sing the national anthem but do they believe and accept they are from the same country?
Even if the Nigerian State at the presidency level is slow to act, I think its expedient that the respective states where these returnees comes from, come to their aid immediately and let their representatives at all levels also act as well.
We should be proactive in our doings and refrain from over talking.

The problem with most people is that they are so eager to please the world and get accepted into the bandwagon that they are afraid to speak their minds. It's a good thing that he volunteered to help evacuate our brothers in south Africa, without collecting money (as far as we know). And the beneficiaries were particularly grateful. If he's doing it out of the goodness of his heart and doesn't truly expect payment as he said I the beginning, why gloat about it when the job is not even completed? Except he's expecting some form of remuneration or acknowledgement from the government, in which case it will not be out of place to truly question his absurd claim of transporting less than 200 people from South Africa to Nigeria in just a trip with 280 million naira.

Let's learn to be objective instead of being sentimental all the time. If you buy me a 5000 naira lunch at a regular restaurant and while I'm still eating you're already telling the world that you spent over 20,000 naira to feel me, should I just remain quiet in the spirit of being grateful?
Yes you shut up. When your parents abandons you and a stranger picks you up and treats you well. All you are required to do is at least say thank you or just shut up. You didn't even hear the full story. Smh .

it may be free for passengers but not free for Alan, he paid for fuel, logistics and airport usage charges and the wicked SA immigration still held down half of the intended returnees.

its safe to say Nigerian lives dont matter in any part of the globe.
You just spewed alot of sense to that dimwit. Thanks bro

I hope he's not beating his chest so early?

Anyway how much is a trip from SA to Nigeria? I feel he exaggerated.

If its free, why bore us with figures or is he expecting something in return? Concessions, future political position, patronage of the airline, compensation

He should state it categorically.

lol This is impossible.

South Africa to Lagos is between N120k and N150k. For 200 passengers, it would have been N30 Million (N150k x 200) and the Airline would still have made a profit.

What did he spend N280M on?

What a very stupid comment?

Air plane even when it landed in SA was on for over 14 hours. So the fuel it was running on, na you buy am?
The feeding on board, crew payment, servicing of air plane na your papa money?

The flight left Nigeria empty. Money could have been made.
There were other logistics involved, not just air time.
What about the time the plane spent from monday to wednesday waiting for the rescheduled arrangements to be concluded? He'd have to pay for hangar time.
Now, consider how much he could have made with that single plane flying other routes rather than stay trapped for those three days...

280m is much, but I dont know the economics of his business and wouldn't doubt it.
I'm really proud of you for this statement. One love

If you have nothing to say, then shut it..

To and fro empty flight..
Plane registration for a route it does not fly..
Costly hours at airport for delays..
Hanger for wait period..
Scheduled 3 trips..
Maintenance and running cost for non paying fliers..

A whole govt could not even cater for its citizens in the heat of time, despite killings and murders. yet someone volunteered and here you are criticizing as if you own a plane...

You wrote my mind,he's not gloating but describing how he felt,it brought tears to my eyes reading it as well, Nigerian government should be ashamed of themselves.

I thank God for his grace in my life,Because it is hell being an African and I dont think I would be able to stand Africans in Africa,I would have been dead by now because I can't stand injustice and poor treatment of others, I would've terrorised this government so bad that sowere and kanu would be learners.

May be the aircraft was in SA for so many days without being used waiting for the returnees.Meaning it should have fetched money if it was put to commercial use in Nigeria or other places
Not maybe, the plane was there for days. Didn't you read earlier that sa immigration delayed alot of nigerians intentionally just to frustrate the government.

What of airport costs, landing fees, hanger rents, cost of registering a Boeing on a new route, flight insurance for a route he doesn't ply??
What of the opportunity costs he forgoes??

Most of y'all know nothing about aviation or perhaps not business smart.

Or y'all think running an airline is like danfo that you can just put on the road and drive anywhere
