This is what you get when you have persons who are insensitive to the plight of the people. 30 thousand naira minimum wage should not be a problem. I only need to advice Labour, one week strike is enough to end these nonsense negotiations. 2 Likes |

Tajbol4splend:...A level 7 officer in parastater earn more than a level 10 officer in the federal ministry...they have started paying level 6 officers but level 7 to 14 nothing yet and that's where we have the main federal workers straight. |

Forget PDP already gone 16years and comment on the present administration's wrong. Maybe they will see reason to start getting it right as that is why they were voted in to correct the wrongs of past administration. Their grumbling and complain is stale already after almost 5years. modelmike7: 1 Like |

Most Nairalanders are illiterates. They don't understand what they read. 30k is not the problem here. The problem is the % increase for higher levels. |

MInimum Wage Drama.. It pained my heart that FG does not know what to do in this case. All Federal Government workers are not equal. There are 9 salary scale structures which are : CONPSS for the core ministries(Public service); level8step2 is @ range of #51,000 , COHESS for Health;level8step2 is #189,000 ,CONRAISS for research;level 8step2 is #120,000,CONTISS II for Non-Academic staff at University,Polytechnic &College of Education; level8step2 is #120,000,CONTEDNESS is#130,000,CONUASS for university Academic staf; level 8step2 is #140,000,CONMESS for medical staff; level 8step2 is #140,000,CONJUSS for judiciary is #150,000 & CONTOPSAL for top federal public office holder; run in millions. FG should abolish CONPSS &harmonize the salary structures of all federal workers with variance in allowances.about 2% of workforce is between level 1 to 6, 86% is between Lev 7 to 14 & 12% is between level 15to 17. If the FG is truely serious with taking 100million Nigerian out of poverty, FG should take a bold step & end this Minimum Wage Drama now... 1 Like 1 Share |

Vickean04: Hmm nice information. Feelers from staff of my school is that they earn lesser than their counterparts from other federal universities (both academic and non academic). Though they're hoping that once they join IPPIS, that will change. Contiss salary structure for graduates( senior staff) starts from level 7 step 2 or 3 as the case may be. What is the salary for contiss 7 step 2 or 3 (non academic staff) across all federal institutions in Nigeria. Do you know sir? |
